I really love this blanket; it helps so I don't wake up with stiff painful joints. I had bought the plush blanket and it stopped heating after 30-45 days but was able to return it and purchase this one - hope it works longer.
I'm in love with this electric blanket! The plush material is very soft and the the pre-heat option is great. The blanket does get really warm, so I usually keep it on low. I would recommend this product.
We're very pleased with this new blanket. Love the texture of the blanket itself. Dual controls perfect for our two different comfort levels.
First time to own electric blanket, bought it for my 80 years old sister to use during her visit in San Francisco, temperature at night is mid-forties. It worked fine for her at a low 2-3 setting with a comforter over the electric blanket. Two things we find would work better. One, the controls are too far from the user as the cord is too short. Second, would be nice to have a dim light come on when controls are touched by user. Attach photo of the controls, not very well designed for usage. The cord for wall plug has the short cord to the controls. The controls also has the cord to connect to blanket that is too long, but if the controls were attach here, the long cord would work so the controls can be accessible by the user towards the top of the blanket. We had to use an extension cord to plug to wall socket. We had to use the electric blanket with the connection cord at the top (next to her face), just so that the controls could be near her hand while she slept.
Very soft fabric. The blanket is thinner and lighter than past (much older) electric blankets I've had in the past, but the heating cable that runs through the blanket is thinner and lighter, too. I am using the twin size on a king sized bed, sandwiched between the sheet and regular blanket. The controller is easy to use. This unit has a Preheat setting. I find that when I get into bed after it has been on for a while while it is still on Preheat, I get warm enough to switch to the Low setting after a few minutes. (After 30 minutes, it automatically switches from Preheat to the last setting you used.) With me getting older, and it being too expensive to run the central heating throughout the night, this blanket has been wonderful on nights and mornings when the house gets down to 45F.
I love this blanket! It's a major softness upgrade in electric blankets. The only feature missing is a programmable shutoff timer. It'll shut off in ten hours if you don't touch it, but I wish the timer could be manually programmed but it can't.
I'd never had an electric blanket before, I was suprised by how nice the heat feels! When I turn it on the heat isn't steady on at the number i selected. It seems to pulse on and off. On 3 and belove its not as noticable but on setting 4 and above it seems to pulse on at close to full power for a few seconds then turn off. It gets so warm that it will pull me mostely out of sleep for a second then it shuts off and I will drift off till I get too cold and not fully wake me up but I am aware that I'm cold. On the lower settings it doesn't seem to be so drastic that it's an issue. If you have colder* space I would not recommend this product as it is not working for me. *note that I live in southern California. It's not cold here compared to LOTS of other places.
This blanket would be AMAZING, except one of the remotes does not work so only half of it heats up. Now I have to go through the process of returning and won't buy again.
I bought this a month ago and thought it was the answer to our problems of my husband wanting the room warm and I wanting it cool. Now less than a month later it is not working at all.
product shipped was much thinner than it appeared on your site; returned it and am waiting for my refund
