I bought this several months ago. I was a bit concerned because some reviews said it moved around off the bed". It does shift some...but no big deal. Simply pull it back up around you. The benefits FAR outweigh this shifting issue. It is the softest blanket I have ever had. It is just lush! The electric blanket part allows for a mild warm, up to as warm as you would want it to be. I have washed it (following directions given on the bottom of the blanket), and it turned out as soft and beautiful as before. I am a very picky shopper. I LOVE this electric blanket and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Love the light weight of the blanket and the luxurious feel! I am so happy with my temperature control and my husband can do less than I prefer with his own control
I love this blanket. It's soft and warm and beautiful. Feels great. I go to sleep under it every night and feel much better because of it. I like the fact that it's light, and although this means you can notice the wires, that doesn't bother me a bit. Great color. Great fabric. Love it.
This was purchased as a gift for my sister, who has rheumatoid arthritis. The change in temperatures with onset of cold and rain has caused significant increase in her pain. This blanket has been a Godsend to her, as she wraps it all around her body in her recliner where she has to sleep due to pain, and she is kept warm from head to toe. I purchased at least 6 different Sunbeam products for her, and one for another sister in Pennsylvania. I also have a severely painful neurological condition and the cold increases my pain. Prior to my purchase of a beautiful, plush oversized heating pad by Sunbeam that warms immediately within 30 seconds, I was going through heating pads every month. This heating pad has lasted me probably at least a year or 2 now. I also bought similar products for my Mother after her cancer diagnosis, all by Sunbeam. I will never purchase another product brand when it comes to this sort of item, as they have proved invaluable and life-changing in our pain conditions with their supreme quality and dependability for our entire family. Thank you, Sunbeam, for caring for our family every day for the past several years, and for the rest of our lives, too.
In November 2015 I ordered a Sunbeam® twin Velvet Plush Heated Blanket and a Sunbeam® Queen Velvet Plush Heated Blanket. I received both three day later. Excellent service. For years I have used Sunbeam heated blankets that were purchased in various brick and mortar stores. None of those blankets match the quality of the Velvet Plush version purchased directly from Sunbeam. The Velvet Plush version is the lightest, softest and warmest of any heated blanket I have ever used. I love the automatic pre-heat timer. No need to remember to turn the blanket on. I also like the adjustable auto-off feature. I am pleased that Sunbeam did away with the silk top boarder that eventually frayed. There are only three changes I would recommend. Although the width is excellent, I would like to have the bottom of each blanket longer to allow it to be tucked well under the foot of the mattress. Tucking the blanket under the foot of the mattress would help keep it from sliding off the bed as easily. I would recommend that the power cords be white. I also would like to have a longer cord connecting the two controls of the queen blanket. A longer cord would allow the night stands to be placed farther from the bed.
I purchased this twin sized heated blanket for my wife a few weeks ago. We use to own Sunbeam heated blankets for years. The blanket warms up very quickly. The controls have a timer feature to turn off at different times or turn it off. Hers is off. No need for a pre heat setting either. The feel is super soft. Fits the twin like a glove. Keeps my wife nice and toasty. Large lighted window on the control unit to adjust the temp. The only thing I miss is the wide, silky boarder to help you fold over your sheet on. The heated blanket end just curls up and clumps. Other than that it's very nice.
I received the electric blanket just before we had a few cold nights so I decided to try it out. It heats the bed very comfortably; it stays on the bed without slipping or sliding off. My one annoyance is it tends to ripple up along the wires and you need to smooth it out when you make the bed in the morning. I have owned Sunbeam electric blankets for 50 years and have never had any problems. I would recommend them to anyone.
I bought this about a month ago. I am satisfied with the controls and it heats great. I am dissappointed on the feel of the blanket. It has more wire you feel and is thinner than the picture looks.
The blanket worked great, but we like to have it under other blankets and just use to warm the bed then turn it off. The problem is it is so slippery that the blankets would not stay on the bed so we returned it. If used alone, it would probably be good but it did not work for us.
I presently own five Sunbeam electric blankets and one Sunbeam electric mattress pad.I have owned Sunbeam electric blankets for over thirty five years. All have preformed well and lasted many years. This recently purchased blanket is soft, plush ,looks beautiful and heats well. But the controller is terrible. To adjust the temperature you have to hold the controller firmly in one hand while you apply significant force with the other hand to rotate the dial.Other models have dials or push pads that allow for easy adjustment of the heat settings during the night.Changing the settings of this blanket is no easy task.It is not convenient or user friendly.I can't believe Sunbeam would market a product with such a poorly designed control.I am not enjoying this blanket.
