very warm

grandlife December 31, 2010

Everything about this blanket is great except the on/off switch. Sometimes it will be pushed unknowingly and get too hot. This happens because you have to hit the same button to select hotter settings. Also, I think there is an adhesive inside that binds the heating element to the fabric and if you pull to hard to comes off so the heating element is almost free floating within the blanket-this doesn't detract from the overall performance, though.

A very high quality product

ebf99 December 17, 2010

This electric warming throw has an unexpected GREAT feature. It turns off automatically after 3 hours. The throw is beautiful on its own, very plush & warm even when off. I plan on buying several more as gifts for friends & family - a great keep-warm throw while watching TV or reading. I love it.

My best friend

Shanedog December 18, 2010

I bought one of these this time last year. After I got it, I went to buy another one and they were gone. The first opportunity I had to buy one, I did. The blanket is wonderful. It is my best friend.

Life saver

Space December 5, 2020

Live here in NEW ENGLAND, plus staying with family in their drafty living room where I had to seal off these windows so it does get cold. Im trying not to turn on the gas bc I CAN tolerate 30 degrees outside ONLY with several layres of blankets. You see, Im trying NOT to turn on the gas lol. I decided to try my first electric blanket to keep me warm at night. Thank the heavens I did. I do have ceramic heater going on at night but electric shouldnt be as much as turning on the gas bc I have the heated blanket to keep me warm too. Even as cold as 20 degrees I can get away with setting it btwn 2 and 4!

I like it, but a little small.

Shrink03 December 20, 2010

This is a twin size warming blanket. It has three heating settings. I almost always use high since low is almost no heat. Overall I do like the blanket especially for the price but I do wish it was a bit bigger.. even just full size. The high does get very warm and keeps even heat which I really like. I would recommend it if you are looking for a single person blanket to keep warm!

Microplush Heated Blanket

BlowinSnow January 3, 2021

I received this for Christmas. It came with a manual, but the manual mentions not one word about how the “preheat” feature on the controller works, nor whether using preheat is part of the 10 hours of usage before the blanket automatically turns itself off ( as an energy conservation feature). Sunbeam... The preheat feature needs to be added to your manual so customers will know how to use it properly. I would also like to add that the number on the controller is so dim that I can barely read it, even in darkness. My manual is 2020 Sunbeam Products, Inc. P.N. 201151 Rev A

This one needs work

BornToLive December 18, 2010

This product is nothing like I thought it should be. It was way too small and I hated the way the plugin worked. I actually took this back to the store and got a regular microplush twin blanket.

Disappointed (Control)

drb001 December 14, 2009

i purchased 2 of these & after using them for awhile,, i have to change my review to not so favorable. #1. as others pointed out,, the control is SO easy to bump & get turned on/off when not meaning to do so. #2. my huge negative is that the control cord is "extremely" short. it plugs into the bottom of the throw & you canNOT reach it if you are using the throw in the same manner as a blanket. (with the plug down towards your feet). the only way i see for the control to be easily accessible,, is if you have the throw wrapped around you like a coat/shawl. while this might work for some,, it doesn't for me. (i've even tried using it with the plug portion up towards my arms,, but that was uncomfortable). had i known about the short control cord in advance (perhaps from this review section),, i would not have made this purchase. *the warming & auto off does work nicely.

not a nice as expected

suuuuuzzzzzzeeeeeeeeee December 28, 2010

A gift for a person with limited mobility. It isn't as soft as expected and the electric cord is too short. It plugs in from the bottom and the cord with the control isn't long enough to reach the table beside the chair or sofa so constantly falls down in the chair or floor. Design wasn't made for using as a throw, more like a short twin blanket.

Stopped working after one use!

MidnightRose January 25, 2011

I purchased this so that I could keep warm when I sleep at night. The first night it worked just fine with no problem at all. However, the very next night when I went to use it the light on the control blinked red; I referred to troubleshooting, followed the directions to hopefully solve the problem, yet it didn't work. I was very disappointed with this product, usually this brand makes good quality merchandise. I read a lot of reviews online on this after I bought it and apparently many other people had the same issue, where it stopped working soon after the purchase. Terrible product; DO NOT BUY!
