This is so great that I just ordered a 2nd one. This company really knows how to make a heated blanket: just the right size and long enough to cover my feet, the heat choices are just right and the controller is streamlined. The fabric is super-soft. When I first used it I realized that I hadn't previously recognized how bone cold I was just under regular blankets. Fall asleep fast and let your body use its energy to repair rather than using energy to keep body warm!
Very happy with this item. Warms up quickly and the size ( throw ) was just right. Our dog and cat really enjoy it too! The automatic shut off is a bonus. The bedroom is on the cold side of the house and the blanket has been indispensable this winter
The only complaint is that the area that it plugs into on the blanket is right next to your body and is bulky. The controls there are also not the easiest, especially if you cold %26 don't want to take your hands out. But the elderly person that I bought it for really likes it.
the control is right where it plugs to blanket and is terrible. it comes apart easily because it doesn't latch in. it also will wear out wire near connection because it's easy to push on wires in the blanket when trying to plug it to the cord/control. it's really a bad design.
I ordered this throw because I was seeking relief for my chronic pain. Love that it's so soft and not too thick. The deal breaker for me is the placement of the control. Instead of being on the bottom corner, it's in the middle on the side. Sunbeam broke something that didn't need to be fixed. Unfortunately, I was so desperate I used it and thought I could deal with it, so I've used it. Now, I have to deal with it regardless.
I love almost everything about this throw—the size, the warmth, the softness. BUT the controller is attached directly to the fabric, on the underside, and it's placed half-way down the side! I have to search for it in the middle of the night, half- asleep, and sometimes have to find the wire and pull. How long is this going to last without breaking? I'm looking to replace this otherwise wonderful blanket and return it, because the design is so stupid. And, no, it is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗, unless you have exceptionally long arms and can see through fabric in the dark.
Overall, price is good and the blanket is soft. But you'd be better buying a plain blanket that doesn't "heat" because that's what you will be getting basically with this one. Unless you are planning on staying 100% still because any slight movement causes the plug to come unplugged. It's constantly shutting off due to the plug coming undone with the slightest movement (just shifting positions). I've had several heated blankets and the plugs always "clicked" or "locked" into place, but this one just barely hooks up and comes undone after any movement. Extremely aggravating. Will be returning. I've had Sunbeam before, and their warranty is barely worth it either. So I will just return this one. 100% do not recommend this blanket due to the wires and plug design. It's almost impossible to keep from unplugging it on accident.
This is the worst heated blanket in the world. I've gotten better heated blankets at a yard sale. Just wanted an electric blanket to help my cats stay warm, but the Wal mart plus delivery was a total hassle and I wasted $48 on a blanket that is ugly, cheaply made, and barely works. Ordered gray and got god awful baby blue. Doesn't match my house at all. I hate it.
I have owned these heated throws in the past. This one I bought for myself and let me tell you…I am so disappointed. I threw away box because I ASSUMED IT WOULD BE GREAT LIKE THE OTHER ONES. I WAS WRONG. The connection of the blanket to the cord will not stay attached. It will not stay connected. Which causes throw to never stay heated up. I am frustrated and disappointed about it.
This is not a good electric blanket. I do not recommend purchasing this. It has a very small amount of heat on the highest setting. Does not have any heat on settings 3-1. I purchased another one about 8 months ago and it did the same thing. I thought it was just a defect. But i see now this brand is just no good. It is too hard to get a refund for these blankets. So money down the drain.
