a nice product...the instructions are horrible..so just turn it on and figure it out. I saved $30 by buying a TWIN size which actually covers the top of a queen mattress. So you might want to measure and see if a smaller and cheaper size will do for you.
I read the previous reviews before I made my purchase(s); I ordered 4. Gave three as Christmas presents, and they LOVED them too. I'm glad I read the reviews, because I purchased all twin size (even though they are being used on queen size beds) and they fit from edge to edge on the mattresses. Which is perfect, not trying to heat the sides of the bed anyway. I placed mine on the top fitted sheet, and we sleep on top of it. Keep it set at "3" for the full 10 hours and it is just cozy, not to hot and not to cool. Super soft next to the skin. You cannot go wrong with this blanket.
This blanket is great so far! It's thin enough to not be sweltering hot, but it stays nice and cozy. This blanket doesn't get as hot as some heating pads, which is great too. I don't have to constantly get up and readjusted the temperature. The only thing that I wish was different is how the cord is made. I do have to get up to turn it on or off.
I love this blanket, it's super soft, and its light weight so I put it between the cover sheet and top blanket and it warms the bed perfectly !! Has the auto shut off after 10 hours which I love, just incase I would forget to turn it off. Also it looks very nice, I have the darker blue. I'm very happy with this blanket, and you can't beat the price. I always depend on reviews for my purchases, so... I hope this helps you decide and I definitely highly recommend this product!
If you are one of the many who sleep alone, it is not necessary to buy an electric blanket that is as big as your bed. I have a queen sized bed and bought a twin blanket. No problems so far. And you save a lot of money, which might allow you to buy a blanket that you can afford.
I'm married to a man who's part polar bear. An electric blanket is the only way I can keep warm when it's 45 outside and he still has the bedroom windows open! This twin size heating blanket is perfect for my half of the bed. I only use the very lowest setting and I'm toasty warm.
I've not had good experience with Sunbeam electric blankets in the past - they have typically broken down within a year, and I've had to buy a new one every year for the past 5 years. I hope this one lasts - will keep the 5 year warranty. So far so good.
I bought this Electric Blanket a week ago. I would not recommend it because Sunbeam Electric Blanket don't last. I have to actually replace one every winter. I keep buying them because I have tried others brands and they are about the same, it hasn't mattered how much I pay, I have pad as little as $29 and as high as $149 dollars for election blankets and the one that did last the longest was the one from JC Penny's. They do heat up, some heat up and work really good, but when I go to use it the next year, it start out working, then just stop. I continue to buy them because I have Lupus and Fybromyalgia, witch results in joint pain, and the warmth of the Electric Blankets help with the pain. Maybe it's me, but I appear to have problems with electric blankets if they are the Sunbeam and one other really popular brand, can't remember it , memory loss is a part of having Lupus. But this is my opinion. Why I continue to buy them, well since I know I will be replacing them anyway, I don't waste my money paying a lot of money for them. lol
Got the Sunbeam heating blanket, it worked for 24 hrs, then controls went into flashing mode, which according to manufacturer instructions means a malfunction, followed directions, called Sunbeam customer service to help troubleshoot, and the conclusion: I got a dud. Aggravating. I bought 2 of these, the other one is functioning fine, but now I find myself waiting for this one to quit working as well. Wondering if I should return both instead of just the defective one.
This is the fifth sunbeam electric blanket in 2 years. They don't last even after sending one back to factory for repair. Not very dependable and will purchase a different product in the future. I have to have heat just about 24 -7 to compensate for the cancer I have been fighting for several years and this product is truly a failed item.
