Sunbeam Fleece Electric Heated Blanket, 1 Each

This blanket is great so far! It's thin enough to not be sweltering hot, but it stays nice and cozy. This blanket doesn't get as hot as some heating pads, which is great too. I don't have to constantly get up and readjusted the temperature. The only thing that I wish was different is how the cord is made. I do have to get up to turn it on or off.

Not sure of duribility as i have only used it about 8 times.Compared to blankets 25 years ago, these may not get as warm. I see the larger better ones have a pre heat on high for an hour and then goes to yur selected lower temp. Dont really need it. I have a queen bed, but it is just me sleeping so I bought the smaller twin. I think the blanket is thick enough, you want heat right? The wires are about 2 inches apart. I place it on the bed, then a sheet to keep it clean. I then place a standard blanket on top of me. High seems warm enough, could be just a little warmer maybe like the old ones I think I remember. I often set it to mid setting. I am happy with it. Right now it is a nice warm unit. Seems my knees are less stiff in the morning. They are not warm as a heating pad and the instrructions will say that. If it last 2 years, I will be happy. It does not get very cold much in Houston Tx, and I keep the room temp about 64 at night.

This is the first electric blanket (in twin size) I've ever seen that was longer than 60". This one is 83" and that length is great. I don't have to contort myself in order to get my entire body covered. Some people have commented that the blanket is thin and - yes - it is. But...for me...that doesn't detract. I'm not sure I'd want anything heavier. The material is very soft and feels nice. Yes...you can feel the wires, but so what? Again...this isn't a distraction for me. I've never had an electric blanket or throw that you couldn't feel the wires. It heats up quickly and is very warm and snugglie. I haven't had it past #3 on the control and that's nice and warm. Really, the only complaint I have is the design of the heat control device. It's easy enough to use, but it would seem they could have designed it to turn to a lower setting w/out having to scroll thru each setting to get back to low. It's a bit annoying, but I'm sure I'll get accustomed to it. Can't speak to durability, but I certainly like it so far. If you're interested in a full length and warm electric blanket, give it a try. If you aren't happy, it can always be taken back. Oh...one more note: you have to follow the directions exactly as far as setting up it. I didn't -- I just dove into it and ended up with this blinking red light. Then I read the directions and determined I had not set it up as the instructions indicate. Once I did things the way instructed, no more blinking red light.

I love that this blanket is both soft and thin, rather than thicker, woolen. Yes, you can feel the wires through the fabric, but no more than my previous blanket, which Was thicker. The wiring is thin and pliable, not stiff or bothersome in any way. I've used quite a few different blankets over many years, most of them Sunbeam brand. So far, I am enjoying this one more, or just as much...And, this one is quite a bit cheaper than any I've ever bought. It warms quickly and evenly...loving it so far.

I bought 2 of these blankets on sale at walmart.com. one for home and one for the rv. I got the twin size for use in a queen bed. why--because if you put the blanket in the middle of the bed and put a light blanket over the top in a queen size --the twin electric blanket will heat the whole bed in the coldest of nites. you don't have to mess with all the cords that come with dual controls and the blankets are 40% cheaper. my dog sleeps on the outer blanket and my honey for the nite sleeps under the el blanket as I do. dog hair stays on the outer blanket which can be washed more frequently. the dogs claws will not mess things up this way also. using it in the rv saves propane gas used in the furnace. the fleece blanket is extra soft--plush being the softest----just right for me.----two nice ladies called and want to come over--what do I do? its hard to be a handsome retired guy!

I bought 5 blankets- all the same brand and style. 1 king, 1 full, and 3 twin. They do work well and the controller looks just like the one in the photo, however after reading the description of the "Thermofine warming system senses and adjusts temperature to deliver consistent warmth all night", it led me to believe it has a thermostat of some sort. It doesn't. You set it at whatever level you want for the night and it stays there all night. No change up and down to automatically adjust the temp. as it says. Also, it says there is a "preheat mode". Not true. The book says some models have this, but these do not. Neither of these issues really make it a bad electric blanket though. I just thought I was getting a fancier blanket than they turned out to be. So far it has gotten down into the 30's where we live and we set the thermostat in our house 68 at night. I turn the blanket on the lowest setting to warm up before bed and usually have to turn the blanket off completely a short time after we get in bed or its too warm. The added weight of the blanket alone makes our bed so much warmer we really don't need the higher settings at all. maybe later in winter that will change. We do like the blanket and I would buy it again. The auto shut off is really nice since I don't have to make rounds every day turning them off in our kids' rooms. Great blanket, just not quite what I expected by reading the product description.

No matter how much I pay for an electric blanket, they all seem to last about the same amount of time. This time, I opted to go for a good price, instead of all the bells and whistles I usually look for. And this one does as good a job as those I've paid twice as much for. It doesn't have a satin binding as many of them do, but it works great, heats quickly and responds to its 5-level heat control immediately. So what's not to like? I'd say give it a try. It's not luxurious, but you never see mine anyhow, as I use it under a quilt, so the aesthetics are not a factor. Good luck!

The blanket was just mediocre for my taste, the color was nice. The heating coils seem to heat up here and there so you don't really feel like you're getting a warm n cozy feeling. In fact some places it's actually cold. I would maybe recommend for a child's room but not for a adult. I've had better for the same price and from Walmart.

We have purchased several Sunbeam blankets over the last few years. They work very well for about a year, then they stop working. Most of them had a 5-year warranty and we sent some back to Sunbeam for repair - and they were still not working when Sunbeam sent them back to us. It costs about $ 10 in shipping to send a twin blanket back to Sunbeam, so now we just throw them out and buy one each winter. Wish they could make a product that lasts. We followed all the instructions and are very careful with the blankets, but they just don't last very long.

I thought this was a great price and a good looking blanket when I ordered it. When I got the blanket, again, thought it looked great! Plugged it in and the lights on the controls began blinking. According to the booklet with the blanket, blinking lights on the control means that the blanket is defective and should be returned. Now I've got to go through the hassle of boxing it back up and returning. Very disappointed with this product and would not recommend to anyone.
