Very Nice Blanket

DStitcher October 26, 2013

i just received this Heated blanket. It is very nice. Not too thick, some may think its a little thin but it is plush and soft and heats up evenly. I really like that I can machine wash it, of coarse you have to remove the control device. I just hope it lasts a long time, because I really like it.

Love at first sight, so warm

busyshopoholicmom1 May 3, 2020

Love it but unfortunately I didn't get to use it. I purchase this for myself and my mother came to visit and fell in love with it and took it home with her. Feels so soft and I was only able to touch it for a few minutes lol . I am making another purchase hopefully no one ask me for it.

Best present ever!

MamaBear December 16, 2016

Any wife who has popsicle toes or is called Mrs. Freeze needs this blanket in their life. I love this twin because not only is plush and soft but it heats up in a matter of seconds. You don't need it higher than 2, it's that warm. No need for a heavy blanket when you have this. The biggest plus for us was that he doesn't have to feel the heat because it's a twin and we have a king bed. It's been the perfect compromise for us. No fighting over the thermostat ladies. Men? Trust me she will be so happy to be cozy and warm. This is worth every penny! The burgandy one is very pretty too.

Excellent blanket - NO PREHEAT ON THIS

DFWAndy January 1, 2014

Despite the clear advertisement of having a preheat feature this blanket DOES NOT have that feature. In all honesty the preheat was the number 1 reason I purchased it. Our old Sunbeam would not get warm unless you were under the covers and that was quite frustrating so when I saw preheat I was all about that! I was quite disappointed when I got this and it didn't have said feature. HOWEVER! I give this the 5-star rating because it absolutely does NOT need preheat. This baby gets warm and it gets there QUICK. Turn it on 20 min before climbing in to bed and - wow, sheets are toasty warm. One big learning-curve is how warm "plush" is. While this blanket is extremely thin it is VERRRY warm, even w/o the juice turned on. We used to have a light, woven blanket on top of the electric - had to take that off (we have another sheet above that). Anyway, great blanket - love how incredibly soft and warm it is.

Perfect for me

Dstagelights August 25, 2020

This blanket works perfectly! It is plenty big enough, unlike some other brands that are quite small. It also comes with a cord that is plenty long enough. My wife likes the house like an ice back so I have bought 3 of these to keep around the house. Great buy

Much lighter...

BoatOn November 16, 2013

Warmth without bulky weight. This replaced a (much heavier) Sunbeam electric BLANKET that dated way back to the 1980's(AD)! That blanket, perhaps from years of laundering, reached a point where it was down to just two settings. OFF and BROIL. This new Plush model warms very quickly. I prefer to pre-heat the (flannel sheets) bed then switch it off when crashing. Most often the better half throttles her side down to L (low) for sleeping. The higher settings, on the controls, I suspect are for toasted/grilled cheese or maybe chips and cheese or nachos. Very pleased with product/purchase thus far. *every day use during the ice-age months here in Michigan. Go BLUE!

Wonderful blanket!

CozyMozy October 4, 2014

I read the reviews and compared different ones before I bought this one. I'll admit that the price/being on sale was my main reason for this purchase. With that being said, I think it is wonderful. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but it gets the job done. Its thin, so you can feel the wires, but it isn't a big deal since won't feel them if its on you; however, even with it turned off, it is pretty warm. I found that using it has a base, with another blanket is very toasty! I will say that it claims to have a pre-heat setting, but this blanket does NOT! Although, I believe it would be nice to have the pre-heat setting, if you turn it on under another blanket, it will get warm! Also, it doesn't have any time device, just a simple dial and a on/off button (but it does cut off after 10 hours!) If you're looking for a simple heated blanket that isn't very expensive, I would recommend it!

Good, but not perfect.

HCAH November 23, 2013

Other reviews were very positive, so I was a little disappointed. The color (mushroom) is very tasteful and the plush fabric is quite soft and does not pick up pet hair. The size is almost too generous. The blanket is very light weight, which in my case is a plus. The negatives are that the electric wires are quite visible (even through a light bedspread) and the channels are so wide that the wires do not stay in place as well as they should. The controls are quite simple to use, but they are constructed in such a way that they can be easily turned on by accident. These problems could easily be remedied by the manufacturer; if they did so, it would be perfect!

Sunbeam Elctrc Blnkt Twin size $53.96="too much $"

Anonymous January 14, 2014

The only reason why I don't recommend this product to anyone any longer as I did before, is because I get the same answer from everyone ~>"Too Expensive". The fact is that the cost of the electric blanket is a bit high; but I needed it for this (winter) time of the year. I also knew I was going to have NO HEAT for a while. I am glad I live in California because the cold season does not last that long but this blanket overall did serve it's purpose.

JUNK

gncsmay February 7, 2014

This is my third blanket. each quit working on left side at all which barely got used. The right side cooked you like a baked potato. Less than a year old. never washed. Sunbeam wanted me to pay and ship it to them and be without it for weeks while they test it. Not my idea of a warranty. keep the box and receipt as you will need them to exchange or return it. I've found this to be a good idea for most big Walmart purchases.
