I bought one of these blankets last year, wore it out completely, as I used it all year long! I am always cold!! I Couldn't wait to buy another one. I am very pleased with the the material, the multiple settings, the durability, the cord length speaks true to the pkg very long indeed and not to mention the price which is reasonable compared to other competitors! I would definitely purchase this blanket over and over. I would also recommend this to others. great buy
I haven't used an electric blanket in at least 40 years. I have arthritis in many areas of my body and a heating pad is too small. My doctor suggested an electric blanket on a low/medium setting. I shopped online and recognized the brand, Sunbeam. I ordered twin size and anxiously waited for it. I remember the old scratchy ones with the satin banding at the top. Let me tell you, this is one of the softest, most comfortable blankets that I own! I keep the setting at 3-4 and when I awake, my joints feel so much better than before! If I get aches during the day, I bring it out to my recliner and sit with it for about 30 minutes and the aches subside. I'm very very pleased with this blanket and will be ordering at least 1 more!
I am always soon cold as the temperatures drop. I usually sit in my recliner with an afghan but lately I have been getting colder. My husband said getting an electric blanket HAD to be cheaper than raising the thermastat. I checked several web sites but they were so expensive! I decided to check WalMart.com and thought I'd try this Sunbeam. It is very soft and "squishy". The twin size is just right to cuddle up with and stay nice and warm.
i just received this Heated blanket. It is very nice. Not too thick, some may think its a little thin but it is plush and soft and heats up evenly. I really like that I can machine wash it, of coarse you have to remove the control device. I just hope it lasts a long time, because I really like it.
I remember electric blankets from the '60s at my Grandmother's. "Wooly, itchy, cordy". NOT this. Works like a champ. Might take you a couple of nights to "dial it in" and find YOUR "perfect sleep number... 1 thru 10 BUT once you do.....sheer bliss. Walk by before turning in, hit the ON button, arrive moments later to a toasty bed. WONDERFUL!
This blanket works perfectly! It is plenty big enough, unlike some other brands that are quite small. It also comes with a cord that is plenty long enough. My wife likes the house like an ice back so I have bought 3 of these to keep around the house. Great buy
Quality: This blanket warms the bed nicely even in lower settings, but is very thin, you can feel the wires on you.. If you shut it off through the night it will not keep you warm. The previous one I had was thicker and would keep you warm even if it was off, also you could not feel the wires. The Plush Fabric is lovely, very soft but should be thicker. Price: The price could be lower because of the thickness (you can feel the wires on you) The packing and delivery: The packing was good, the box containing the blanket was had no signs of bad handling. The delivery was as expected, it arrived on time.
I have a king size bed and always have a problem with cold spots. This electric blanket works well and has an even heat distribution. No more cold spots! The size is good, but it barely covers my extra deep mattress, so I can't imagine buying a size down, as some reviewers suggested. The blanket works well! I previously slept with three quilts and a comforter on my bed. Now, I have a quilt, the electric blanket, and then a second quilt on top. (I like the weight of the quilts.) I set the blanket on two and it is extremely comfortable. The blanket is soft and stretchy, but that means you can feel and see the wires. For me, this is no problem, but I can understand it may bother some folks. There is a fair bit of "shedding" with this blanket, but that is normal with this type of material. Controls are easy to use, but the electrical cords are heavy and it does not take much for the control to fall off the side table. I had to secure the cords to the side tables to prevent them falling off.
I got this to warm up my bed before I get in at night and it does the job. As an electric blanket overall, I think it's lacking. I don't believe the heat is evenly distributed between the coils and the edges (especially the top) don't have coils at all. You get what you pay for.
This is my third blanket. each quit working on left side at all which barely got used. The right side cooked you like a baked potato. Less than a year old. never washed. Sunbeam wanted me to pay and ship it to them and be without it for weeks while they test it. Not my idea of a warranty. keep the box and receipt as you will need them to exchange or return it. I've found this to be a good idea for most big Walmart purchases.
