Much nicer then electric blankets of the past. Remember when electric blankets back in the day? They were itchy and all. Not this one. This one is plush, soft and it feels nice when the blanket is on and off. Worth the investment if you're looking for an electric blanket.
This electric blanket came in very handy when we've been without Propane to heat our HVAC for 12 days now. It would have been unbearable otherwise. Wish the controls would be separate for each side so each person can reach the controls though - they are like in a daisy-chain on one cord.
This blanket is very soft. You can feel the wires in it, but I think that is normal for all electric blankets. It doesn't bother me. The highest setting is quite warm, so much so that my cat will jump off onto the floor and stretch out to cool off after laying on the heated blanket for a short time on this high setting. I got this blanket for my husband who had chills during a recent Covid infection. It really helped him during that time when he couldn't get rid of the chills using regular blankets. I like that the product is washable. And the royal blue color is pretty and vibrant. I recommend this purchase.
It came with a while in it around where a heater coil is. Of course of all boxes not to keep!! Ive got boxes from a WII that I gave away 2 years ago. $85 its very upsetting but you couldnt see it until putting on the bed and I aired it for a week. It is pretty and heat is good.
My current electric blanket went out and was unable to purchase another one so decided on this Sunbeam. I took it out of the box and it went right back in and returned to the store. Only a 3ft cord. Could not reach plug in. The wires inside the blanket were thick and heavy. The blanket was a very soft micromink fabric but just super thin. Could tell the fabric was not going to hold up well. Returned before even trying.
It heats up well , but there is a foot wide area in the middle of the bed that does not heat. I got a queen size and it only heats about two feet wide on either side. Compared to my old sunbeam it is very thin. I probable should send it back and get a better one.
Purchased 2nd one for my mom since Christmas. Neither worked for more than a week. Would quit working in the night and light on controller would start blinking. Had to unplug and replug to get it to start back working, but would happen again within a few hours. Will be returning 2nd one and going with another brand.
bad product. for one side stops working and must unplug and re plug to get it to work an DC must do it more than once a night. other side gets too hot on lowest setting. going to return and purchase a different brand.
I bought the King size. It has 2 controllers. The problem is that the cord is not long enough between them. It reaches across but not long enough to sit on bed tables. I have to leave one on the floor. Will probably take back. Otherwise I like it. It's soft and heats well
This is the 4th sunbeam we have bought in the past 2 years about a week in therecare always defects that arise. Only half the blanket will heat or the thermostats will barely heat even on high or the piece of junk won't heat at all Take ur pick they have all happened to us
