Absolutely Amazing
Live here in NEW ENGLAND, plus staying with family in their drafty living room where I had to seal off these windows so it does get cold. Im trying not to turn on the gas bc I CAN tolerate 30 degrees outside ONLY with several layres of blankets. You see, Im trying NOT to turn on the gas lol. I decided to try my first electric blanket to keep me warm at night. Thank the heavens I did. I do have ceramic heater going on at night but electric shouldnt be as much as turning on the gas bc I have the heated blanket to keep me warm too. Even as cold as 20 degrees I can get away with setting it btwn 2 and 4!
I received this for Christmas. It came with a manual, but the manual mentions not one word about how the “preheat” feature on the controller works, nor whether using preheat is part of the 10 hours of usage before the blanket automatically turns itself off ( as an energy conservation feature). Sunbeam... The preheat feature needs to be added to your manual so customers will know how to use it properly. I would also like to add that the number on the controller is so dim that I can barely read it, even in darkness. My manual is 2020 Sunbeam Products, Inc. P.N. 201151 Rev A
I've owned Sunbeam blankets for years but on the newest model I just purchased (Velvet Plush King Size) the controls only stay lit for only about 20 seconds. That makes it difficult to know if it's on or not or what setting it's at as the night goes on without having to push a random button. Not sure why Sunbeam thinks removing that useful feature is an improvement. Otherwise the blanket seems to work well.
You can feel all the wires, because the blanket is so thin. I have to be really careful that my toes don't get caught between the wires. don't like the remote. The only thing, I love about it is, it's so soft. Next time, I will get a thicker, heavier blanket.
I bought this heated blanket 2 years ago. Had a house fire (unrelated to the blanket) and received a new one from my fiance for Christmas last year. I literally used it last winter and tucked it away until a month ago when I pulled it out to use this year. It will NOT heat up and the control only stays on for about 30 mins until it shuts off. It is supposed to stay on for 10 hours! This is super frustrating as the blanket costs a pretty little penny. I have already unplugged and replugged from the wall and checked the connection to the blanket. I have also tried different outlets. Nothing has helped. After reading these reviews it looks like Sunbeam is putting out faulty products even though they claim they are high quality. Too many people seem to be having the SAME problems. Something should be done for ALL these folks having this problem. We have spent a chunk of money on these blankets to have them crap out just shortly after getting them.
Received this as a gift about a month ago. Loved it for a month, then it stopped working. There is perhaps some faint heat coming from wires in the blanket; however, if present it is insufficient to do any good. Digital display works well so the issue seems to be in the blanket. As such, it is useless. I will note that the person gifting the product has one as well; she has used it over time and has been very happy with it.
I bought this blanket a month ago. Have used it for two weeks as I was out of town the other two... it would get warm in different places at different times which is so strange. Tonight it won't turn on at all now. I have checked the pligs, wires and outlet. The light won't even come on, on the heat dial. Very disappointed, as I relay to the heat do you my disability. I'm in a limited fixed income and can't afford another one....
fabric very thin. see and feel wires through the fabric.paid over 100.00 for this. i want to exchange for better quality.
Dial controllers do NOT light up..You can't see the controls at night..Like driving at night and you have no headlights..
