I am elderly and can not generate enough heat myself to sleep soundly without an electric blanket. My Sunbeam blanket is marvelous! I use the preheat feature and appreciate getting into a bed that is already warm. The blanket keeps me toasty all night so that I can get good restful sleep, and I do not even have to have it on the highest setting. the controls are simple and easy to use. This blanket is an excellent product.
I haven't had a heated blanket in a while. I love that I can set this to a range of temps. I also love that it feels plush without feeling too weighty. I use mine under a quilt and I do not get overheated. Being over 50 it is important not to get too hot or too cold.
Best heated blanket I've ever purchased! My heat went out a couple weeks ago and the company was booked up with repairs so I had to wait a little while before someone could fix it. I purchased the blanket to keep me warm at night and it worked amazingly!
still works after a month, which is a plus. I've had it before and one thing I learned is to NEVER wash it. So I use this blanket on top of all blankets, that way I don't sweat on it, hence I never have to wash it. I guess I could've bought the throw version for that matter. Anyway, still works. Keeps me beautifully warm even though the many layers away from my body that I keep it.
Live in a snowy climate with nothing but wood stove and space heaters to stay warm. Works very well but recommend you preheat blanket then begin a lower setting. Only problem I found is that when I pull blanket up when making bed I feel I try to be careful because I feel I might be pulling the electrical lines out of place.
As I said in my previous review, I am happy with the purchase. My wife seems pleased also. As of this review, I have had it 40 days. So, as expected, no problems. The Sunbeam electric blanket that it replaced performed very well for over nine years (five-stars). The reason I have not rated this one higher is only because it is new. (The warranty is still in effect.) Hopefully, it will also last more than five years. Then, it becomes a five-star blanket.
We were in need of an electric blanket and I could not find one locally that was reasonably priced then I found this on Sunbeam's site! The blanket is thinner thsn I expected but warms nicely. Hard at times to pull it up on the bed as it tends to bunch up. But all in all functions ok!
A very nice electric blanket. This blanket seems lighter and warmer than my previous one. The preheat function is handy and quite fast. I can not understand why the very large label isn't on the underside of the blanket. Are you serious?! At least make it removable, it's an eyesore!
Perhaps a bit too warm for Florida but really a good blanket. However, the dual controls malfunctioned one week after receiving the items. I am now returning the blanket and the controls back to Sunbeam warehouse so they can either fix it or replace it. We'll see the end result.
I'd never had an electric blanket before, I was suprised by how nice the heat feels! When I turn it on the heat isn't steady on at the number i selected. It seems to pulse on and off. On 3 and belove its not as noticable but on setting 4 and above it seems to pulse on at close to full power for a few seconds then turn off. It gets so warm that it will pull me mostely out of sleep for a second then it shuts off and I will drift off till I get too cold and not fully wake me up but I am aware that I'm cold. On the lower settings it doesn't seem to be so drastic that it's an issue. If you have colder* space I would not recommend this product as it is not working for me. *note that I live in southern California. It's not cold here compared to LOTS of other places.
