Sunex Tools, 1/2" Chrome Finish Socket Wrench & Set, 19 Piece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi all. Got this set of Sunex 1/2" Drive Impact Sockets. Standard depth. Includes sizes from 3/8 up to 1 1/2" Packaged in a well designed case. All are 6 Point. I work as an Automotive Technician. And this set will receive ALOT of use. Even on some of the bolts on my 2018 Harley Sportster 1200.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of working out of my tool box with the sockets mounted on a socket rail or in a mounted tray I discovered that I really needed a set that I could grab and take out on the job with me along with my cordless impact wrench.. There were other sets available but "not" with the selection of sizes available in the Sunex tool impact socket set.. All the sockets are easy to identify and find quickly in the case.. And this set "included" 1 1/2" and 1 7/16" sockets which I use repairing snow and ice control equipment.. So if your looking for a "complete set" of quality 1/2 impact sockets then I would add Sunex tools to your list...

They hold up to abuse and I have had zero issues with them. The case they come in is very well thought out and made durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this set of SAE they are nearly identical to my Matco set of Metric impact sockets(which were a whole lot more money). This kit also came with more socket sizes then I originally expected. All in all I would buy these sockets again anytime. Great investment on a great set of tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd been holding off on getting a set of SAE impact sockets, but now I have them! I have a set of metric impact sockets from another brand which I am also happy with, however the finish and quality of these seems to be much higher. These are standard depth sockets, neither deep nor shallow. You'll only get over a moderate-length stud before bottoming out, so keep that in mind purchasing this set. This set is better for attacking bolt heads or nuts that mount nearly flush to the bolt end. Not much to say about how they work. The fit was good on the sizes of bolts I tried, so there should minimal wear on your fasteners. The finish on the sockets is the pretty standard matte/grippy finish of most impact socket sets. I did not have any issues with slipping or the socket walking itself off a bolt head/nut. The blow-molded case leaves quite a bit to be desired, as it has no handle, and only a simple tension-based clip to keep the case shut. I see this failing in the near future after opening the case a few dozen times. It does the job, but for the price, I'm not upset they didn't put a ton of effort into the case. I will eventually replace it with a modular socket holder. This is only worth (maybe) half a star, so I couldn't bring myself to lower the rating down from 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had them for a few weeks. Really stand up to being used and used hard. Fit and finish is amazing. They are both laser etched and have the size stamped in them so they are ready for years of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most full set around and I wish I had bought it soon. If you're a diesel or heavy equipment tech buy this set today and if you're mobile and need sockets in a case buy it yesterday. Fantastic set!

I bought a set of these about a year or a year & a half ago & I've been using them alot since I got them. I'm an industrial maintenance mechanic working on different machines daily & these sockets are pretty awesome. They've got a great price on them. They've been holding up great with all the use I've put them through everyday. These sockets are though & dependable. Their just as good as snap on sockets if not better. I do know for a fact the price is way better for these sockets. I'll be getting more sunex sockets cause their good.

Very well constructed priced right and are very strong I am a heavy duty truck technician so o use these tools quite often I recommend them for all technicians I am very impressed with the fit and durability of this set
