SunnyD Tangy Original Orange Juice Drink, 1 Gallon Bottle

I always looked at SunnyD as a 'kids drink' in the past (up until a few years ago) before randomly comparing a leading brand orange juice to SunnyD and (to my surprise) found that SunnyD actually had a little less sugar/calories per serving than the 100% orange juice. I've been drinking it ever since and while it is a majority orange juice it contains plenty of other fruit juices as well giving a more balanced (and less acidic) taste in my opinion while getting the same 100% DV Vitamin C. I fully recommend SunnyD as a substitute for orange juice -- regardless of your age.

This is a staple in our home and everyone prefers it to other orange juice type drinks. It has a sweetness with a hint of the tart, has a smooth mouth feel, and no grainy particles. For those that like a cocktail now and then, we found that adding a couple of shots of Pinnacle Cream Vodka makes a drink that tastes exactly like an orange CREAMSICLE with a little "extra kick." Try it !

Made by some Dads trying to make TANG taste better quite a few years ago when it was the astronaut's drink from NASA .bit it lacked ummm REAL JUICE… and failed to give it any KICK at all so the dads brought together some grapefruit tangerine orange etc and SUNNY D was born and became a hit virtually in a short time … fast forward to today and this family's fav juice is still SUNNY D w/Vitamin C added. And some with calcium added and let's not forget the citric fruit that helps our immune system… so you go DADS wherever you are !!!!

My kids and grandkids love this as a treat for bingo or suprise drink for get togethers. Different than oj but sweeter. It tastes best when refrigerated for hours or overnight. Over ice its great too!

I being buying the juice for the longest and me and family move the taste it is not that sweet it is real good thank you to Walmart to given me the opportunity to buy it

Sunny D is great in small quantities. It is really sweet so you have to limit kids and have them brush their teeth after drinking this (just like with any super sweet cola etc.) It is a tasty way to get a little vitamin C. It will quench your thirst on a hot day.

Good afternoon Community, Sunny Delight was a childhood drink my Dad purchased for us girls. In a era everyone is conscious of sugar intake this drink is still standing strong. Product cost has increased in cost. Profitability is seen in us girls now women. God's hand of mercy has rested upon us down through the years. Keeping us sound in mind, sound in body, sound in strength. Sunny D🌞

This is one of those nostalgic drinks. The kids love it and honestly I get it. It has that tangy flavor that just hits a certain way. Not quite juice, not quite anything else, but it works. It is definitely on the sweeter side, so not something we go through constantly, but it is nice to have around. The big bottle helps because it disappears pretty fast once it is opened. Not an everyday thing, but still a solid pick.

I dislike the fact that they continue to add sugar to orange juice, which is already sweet and it makes it taste like koolade.Rather than real orange juice. so no San, this is a chemical blend made to taste like orange juice.I would not recommend it because real orange juice with no sugar added tasty even better

I asked for the Sunny D smooth abd they sent me the tangy. My grandson doesnt like tangy. and I wasnt given a choice to not have it substituted. Walmart needs to not substitute things without asking us first! I paid for a product that I did not want.
