The screen was very easy to put together and the inner screen slides easily. Hopefully it lasts awhile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked on all sites, and it was all coming back to sunnydaze. The screen is heavy duty, but easy to manage. It's a perfect decor the the mountain house and protects the fire pit. Easy to put together.

This screen was exactly what I was looking for.

I have this over a brick fire pit, just like recommended. I am glad I got it at a big discount because it is not a very solid item. It looks good and works fine, but the thickness of the metal rim and screen could d not be any thinner and the ""hinges"" for opening seem like weak design. Time will tell, but the initial impression is good looking but cheaply made.

The spark screen sent was not the one pictured. The handles were thin and not securely welded…one broke off during assembly..(the one picture has handles that screw on, like the one I was replacing and are much more sturdy). I contacted Walmart, who in turn contacted Sunnydaze regarding the issue. Sunnydaze had me send photos of the issue and offered a refund or replacement. I am currently waiting for the replacement, which I was advised would be like the model in the photos. Guess time will tell.

As others mentioned, the directions are terrible. The product isn't high quality, especially for that price. I needed a hinged cover for my in-ground fire pit so my dog won't eat the charred wood. I doubt this product will make it more than one season.
