My backyard measures 100 feet in width and 40 feet in depth. Previously, I relied on twenty solar lights from a major retailer to illuminate it, but even then, the lighting was inadequate, barely allowing me to discern details beyond 20 feet. Nowadays, I've switched to just six lights focused on the right side, and the entire backyard is brightly lit. From ground level to the tops of 40-foot-tall trees, I can distinctly see details on trees and bushes over 40 feet away. Along the side of my house, I've spaced lights every 5 feet to fully illuminate a hedge approximately 6 feet distant. Despite aiming the lights only slightly above ground level, the tree tops 40 feet up are clearly visible. When I'm indoors with the lights on at night, I can still see the outdoors clearly thanks to these spotlights.
