Purchase %26 delivery perfect. The design will work but to make it waterproof I have to add caulk.
Finally found a connector that did what it was supposed to do. MY lines were old %26 brittle and this connector was strong enough to penetrate them.
I was worried they wouldn't work on old hard wiring. I didn't have any problems with 4 replacements.
In my garden, I had a 20-year-old Malibu lighting system, where only two of twelve lights were operational, and despite numerous attempts to fiddle with the connectors, the remaining lights remained non-functional. As I systematically replaced the original connectors with these new ones, each light gradually came back to life. These connectors were the heroes that revived my system, prompting me to place a reorder. The reason is that I'm installing a similar system elsewhere and plan to use these connectors right from the start. Installing these connectors is a breeze; all you need is an affordable, compact wire cutter/stripper and a sharp kitchen knife to split the low voltage wire for connector installation. A stool to sit on while you work around your garden can also make the connector replacement process more comfortable!
I acquired some exterior low-voltage lighting fixtures, but the connectors intended for attaching them to my power supply were virtually ineffective. The lights kept flickering off whenever the temperature fluctuated, necessitating me to venture outside, squeeze, and jiggle them until they reignited. The most frustrating aspect was that this issue arose exclusively at night, rendering repairs even more challenging. However, these new connectors are straightforward to install and robust. They have eliminated the issue of lights turning off and on due to temperature changes. They are dependable and functional.
A majority of my backyard landscape lights, specifically 15 out of 16, stopped working. After trying different wire connections to no avail, I was contemplating replacing all the lights. However, before doing so, I came across this product and decided to give it a shot. It was incredibly user-friendly, and it has restored functionality to all my lights. The non-working ones merely required new bulbs, which I tested to confirm their operation. For the price, it offers excellent value, is sturdy, and has just the right size and fit!
The opening for wire diameter was insufficient for 14 gauge wire without cutting away part of the wire coating so that the plastic nuts would screw down completely to hold the wire in place.
I purchased my cable, transformer, and lights individually to ensure compatibility. I started with a set of eight 12-watt Sunvie lights, necessitating a minimum of 96 watts to power my 100-foot cable. To account for a 20% buffer, I opted for a 120-watt transformer. I chose 12-gauge wire, avoiding thinner options like 14 or 16 gauge. The outcome was remarkable, with consistent performance from the first to the last light.
Caps don't thread easy to push down on wire. Had to push down with tool and utilize a socket/wrench to push down threading. Hopefully it doesn't pop up!?!
Looked like a nice product when I ordered it, but when I went to use them I wished I had ordered something different. Used for outdoor landscaping lights. It took several tries to get the electrical connection to work. The screw body and screw caps are a very pliable plastic that collapses or starts popping over the screw threads before exerting enough pressure to make a good electrical contact. After a while I did one to work. Hopefully I can set it and forget it. I was hoping this connector was going to be better than the pinch connectors at the big box stores. It ended up taking longer and it was a bit frustrating. Ease of use: Poor Weather seal: Poor
