I got this to replace a similar unit that was getting hot. So far so good on this one, the phone and stand stay cool. The stand is attractive and you can easily tell by the light when you are charging. I gave 4 stars because you really have to nail the placement with a MagSafe case on. I mostly just take the case off now which I think is better for the phone any way.

Meh I bought this with the hope that it would charge my new phone faster than the 10 year old Qui charger (rated at max 5 watts) that I already own. No Such Luck I doesn't work any faster than the old one. I thought maybe it needed a more powerful "wall wart" or a better cable so I sprung for a 25 watt Samsung charger and a "PD" rated cable but they were no help. The folding design is not strong enough to hold up the phone unless you stand it nearly straight up making it basically a really thick pad and not a stand. I will keep it because it is cheap and it does charge the phone just not as intended.

It hasn't charged anything. I'm troubleshooting to find out if I need to return it.

The hinge is loose, so when I place my phone on it to charge, it lays flat and won't stand up. Will still charge the phone, but if I'm trying to consult a recipe while cooking and charging, it's really annoying.
