Great Product

HomeDYI December 19, 2016

This start capacitor will replace your overload relay switch for a small price as compared to paying for the OEM parts you would need. If you have a new refrigerator I would not suggest going this route as in most cases it will void your warranty. But if it is an old fridge and it is either replacing it or using this part then it is a no brainer.

3 in 1 compressor starter

Fixer November 16, 2016

I looked up the hp of my fridge compressor and looked up the appropriate size 3 in 1 unit online. Ordered it overnight and it was on my front step the next afternoon. Installation instructions were clear and had it installed in about 15 minutes and fridge was cooling. Just make sure you match the right size starter to your compressor.

This can keep your compressor going longer.

Flocker October 16, 2019

This will keep your worn compressor going longer. This is easy to install, if you have some basic fix it skills. If your compressor is very bad, this will not work. Check your compressor yourself, or have someone check it for you, if you don't have the skill. Search You Tube " How to check your Refrigerator, or AC system compressor. " You will need a Multi-Meter, and know how to read ohms. It's not hard to do.

Supco

I was pretty sure my compressor was still ok by using an ohm meter. That both fans were running, and the lights worked. So I order the Supco 3 in 1 universal relay, It took 10 minutes to install and the fridge started working. I hope it works for you.

Mr. Freezer Lives On!

sinequanon November 18, 2018

As a homeowner doityourselfer, I was able to replace the original capacitor in my small Kenmore deep freezer with this Supco aftermarket 3-N-1 capacitor and save the cost of a new deep freezer for about $11. It's been working about a week already and my freezer is holding steady at -5 degrees. This savings bolstered my argument for a new shotgun!

Great Product

RichieD September 23, 2016

I was getting confused by inappropriate parts from suppliers while trying to fix my fridge, almost ready to give up and junk it. It would run for 20 seconds, then quit. I eventually figured out the circuit, bought this hard start kit, spliced it into the run capacitor and the compressor, and the fridge works perfectly now. The run capacitor goes in parallel with the leads from the start kit that attach to the run and start terminals on the compressor. Use insulated crimp connectors so the wires can't short, throw away all the old relays attached to the compressor. This sealed part has everything but the run capacitor. The fridge works better than it has in a long time. Thank you Walmart for stocking this part.
