Got the step sides for an 86 f250 . Installation was a breeze and me and my family love the step side to get into that big old truck. Would buy from this company again
I have a bus and this was the perfect fit for a replacement step. The online ordering was easy and customer services was great.
The overall quality of the super hoop steps are great, the install was fairly straight forward if you are handy with general tools. I had to make a few modifications/adjustments (1993 Ford e-250 Super Mobile Van) to get the right fit for my needs but after installed, these steps are solid and look cool. The 20 inch wide step provides plenty of space to feel comfortable stepping in/out from the van. Overall the customer service/support from REAL TRUCK was great.
I purchased them to have less snow, slush, and ice build up under the full length running boards. I believe they'll do the job. Late spring I'll replace the long running boards. The super hoops are somewhat difficult to install without a special drill, but with persistence they can now be taken on and off without much difficulty.
Was very pleased with product appearance when received. Installation instructions were clear enough....I read them multiple times and looked at truck application for a couple days prior to installation..In the end the installation was easier than anticipated. I was concerned about drilling through pinch weld with a small(ish) household cordless drill...it was not the issue I thought it was going to be. 1st step took about an hour, 2nd step about 15 minutes. Function is great. I find I use step every time now getting in truck but I have never used step getting out of truck....all my buddies with running boards say the same thing....use going in but never out but...they say they frequently bump foot against running board getting out, I have not done that with the hoop steps. Pleased! Nice price point.
I love these steps. I was never fan of the original (small) hoop step, but the super hoop step looks badass and it's more functional, especially for men with big feet and/or wearing boots. They are very sturdy and I like the way the black ones look on my truck.
The steps are solid and stable. I would have liked to have known how far they hung below the bottom of the pickup. They are just right for my grandson but they eat a lot of ground clearance. I assumed the mounting would go smooth. Not. Apparently the layer of metal that the floor plate is of. Is hardened steel. It took 3 hrs and several broke bits to drill 8 - 5/16” holes. I had to start with an 1/8” and step up each size to het the holes. If I had know it would be that hard to mound, I would have bought no drill running boards. For about the same price as 2 sets of the steps.
The quality and appearance of the steps are fantastic. Installation on a 1981 Chevy C30 was not as easy as expected due to the location of the fuel tanks and protective shroud. The mounts were modified by cutting off some metal and redrilling holes. Overall, very satisfied with product!
I ordered these steps for a 2025 Ford Bronco and I had two reputable shops tell me that the mounting hardware would not work for this vehicle.
The website the steps I purchaced would fit my new truck but they did not. But the return process was easy enough.
