Super Mario Maker 2 - Nintendo Switch [Digital]

If you're interested in creating Mario courses yourself OR you have Nintendo Switch Online (or both!) then SMM2 is well worth it! The story mode is better than I expected due to creative level designs and strong variety in terms of aesthetics, platforming mechanics, objectives, and difficulties. And there are so many fun online courses and worlds to play if you take some time to look for them. Bouncing back and forth between the 5 different generations of Mario games included (SMB, SMB3, SMW, NSMB, and 3D World) and the subtleties involved with each really helps keep the game fresh. In a sense it serves as a celebration of the history of 2D Mario and it's my favorite aspect of the game. I haven't played around with the Course Maker too much but from my limited use it seems robust. Even for people not interested in creating courses, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who enjoys or is interested in 2D Mario games! (I bought the digital code and received it via email shortly after purchase, no issues with redeeming the code or using the product)

It's multiple generations of Mario games but with custom levels made by players and level designers. If you like 2D platformers and puzzles and dexterity and agility challenges in this genre, this is right up your alley. Lots of levels to play. I'm worried Nintendo will eventually shut down the service though, so I think that almost warrants a 4 star rating due to that risk, but I'm not certain that will happen anytime soon, so I'm not deducting a star. Overall, if you like Mario games and want more levels, this is perfect. I got it on a half off sale for around $30 and feel that was a pretty fair price for it. I have put about 2 hours into it so far.

My kids love it and play for hours a day either playing other player made maps, or making their own.

Fun game with lots of different levels and options. Cool experience to create your own levels. Some features requires online membership to play.

I never received it!! I have emails from Apple stating my iCloud was deactivated when they said it was delivered by email. They refuse to do anything to fix it.
