Super Mario RPG - Nintendo Switch - U.S. Edition

this is one of the few Nintendo games that Nintendo has ported to newer consoles that is actually worth the purchase. the updated graphics is nice, but it's the updated gameplay mechanics and the additional post game content that makes the game worth it.

It's just like the old Super Nintendo game. I love these throwbacks. I have so much fun with these games. I miss the old system, not so much a fan of the Wii handheld but it'll do.

“Mario but make it Final Fantasy”. Loved it, it’s just super short tho. 30 hours, and that’s including falling asleep while playing or leaving it on while out the house. But still good

This revamp of the 1996 game on NES was highly recommended. It brings hours of old school Mario to a new generation. And the price was pretty affordable considering the cost of some of the other Mario games

As someone who’s never played the original game, I can say that this game is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish! Whether you’re familiar with Mario or not, or if this is your start to the RPG genre, this game is perfect either way! The revamped graphics, music and controls are all welcomed additions in contrast to the original The only minor issue I can think of with this game is that it does get easy halfway through. Dont expect a challenge from this game. Its a fun, light, colorful gane to relax in! Thats the best way to play a game like this! A must for any Switch owner and a classic for all Mario fans!

Super Mario RPG for Switch is a faithful remake of the Super Nintendo Classic. I played the original and enjoyed it immensely. I like many was pleased to see it getting attention finally after all these years. If you are looking for a light-hearted but engaging role playing experience Super Mario RPG for Switch is right down your alley. I'd daresay encourage even die hard gamers to at least give it a look over due to the absurd quirkiness of a game it is. The Soundtrack, remade by the original composer Yoko Shimomura is fantastically well done but the game also includes an option to enjoy the SNES SPC audio in its analog glory. The game is gamer friendly for new comers. My younger family members gave this game a go on a new file and found the game surprisingly fun, surprised that there was more to Mario then just jumping around. Most of the battles are fairly easy but there are some tougher bouts late game that make the experience feel well rounded and the climax of the game is as surprisingly refreshing as I recalled the original being. The battle system itself is simple and intuitive with a few slight new bells and whistles, namely the triple attack that's introduced during the story itself. Overall, I'd rate the game itself a solid 'A-' in my book, as the flaws that exist in the remake come more from being faithful to the conventions of being true to its Super Nintendo Gaming production nature of the day then today's gaming standards. Not at all a flaw but something to note for newcomers. Highly recommended. As a side note as well for delivery reliability. Walmart.com has gained great reputation with my family in getting pre-orders and orders for electronics delivered quickly and fast. So far, they've got our orders delivered either on time to the delivery estimate or quicker and the delivery services they use have handled our orders exceptionally well.

I rented the game on and off in 1996, early 1997 and I was still new to RPG's at the time until Final Fantasy VII released later in 1997 and when I got it that Christmas, the flood gates opened up to how I would love the genre going forward. This remake was done from love by Artepiazza and it clearly shows. There are some things changed from the original on Super Nintendo, but this serves as a great way for newcomers to the game and fans of the original. I finished the game around 15 hours with maxing all characters at 30. Tons of charm and the game is on the easy side, but the post game event could pose some challenges for some. Highly recommended for all fans of Nintendo, RPG fans, and also those who loved and miss the Squaresoft aesthetic of the mid to late 90's.

The only reason why this isn’t 5 stars was because the listing for this item was advertised as the “U.S. Edition,” which I did not receive. I received the World Edition, or also known as ME/SEA (Middle East, Southeast Asia) Edition. I won’t complain too much though because I tested it and it works fine and plays in English. It’s just the game case has the ME/SEA stamp on it, so it isn’t really the U.S. Edition. Otherwise it was brand new and sealed when receiving it, and it’s extremely great value for the condition and price. Would recommend this seller.

I was sent an empty box. I wrapped it as a Christmas gift for my son, and yesterday when he opened it, to our surprise there was nothing inside the game box.
