My only difficulty was in finding a compatible hose in order to use it. Standard hoses won't fit my car. You would think a Civic would be easier to get a hose for.
Great product for a pinhole leak. Easy to install but you will need the can adapter which is very reasonable. The can adapter is for the new EPA self-sealing R134A. Perfect!
1st of all makes sure you know how to use and refill any R-134a units and have the proper pressure gauges. This is really easy to install a small amount in your cars/trucks R-134a air system. Its a re-usable can, as it has a self sealing gasket on the output spout. Caution and care should be taken all times using this can cause you are dealing with a high pressure system. The die inside is red so if you do have any leaks in your cars/trucks air conditioning system, it will bubble out either red or pink. This should take care of any very small leaks, but it is not a fix-all for system with major leaks or problems. Price is reasonable.
Really hard to say that this 100% was the fix for my leak. I had a really bad leak in my Chrysler T%26C - filled with R134 and it leaked out overnight. Looking online, I took a gamble and blocked off the rear portion of the system, since that seemed to have the most conversations about the source of the leak. I vacuumed the system after blockoff, and that held for less than 5 minutes. Frustrated and desperate, I turned to this stop leak product. Bought 2 cans and loaded them in. The charge seemed to hold overnight, so I loaded some r134 in over a couple days. It lasted through our 700 mile road trip over the holiday weekend, so I think the stop leak worked - although I have heard of systems that have a vacuum leak, but pressure will hold, not sure how true that is.
I didn't realize it was the 3 oz can for 798 12 oz can another storage cost between 10 and $13 and even after the total my bill was $38 which should have been more closer to 28
Decided against using It after some thought. If it's not factory installed (leak sealer) it don't belong! Fix it right. How this stuff doesn't clog sensitive sensors and the like Come On Now! It may work but I'll pass. I'll keep the purchase my mistake.
Deceptively small in-hand vs Online picture! NOT enuff Refrigerant to bring my Vehicle's AC Unit up to Spec... Very Disappointed! 😡👎🤬
Maybe it's me my dispensing gauge in hose that pierces the cans. It's the cheap original that came with a cans at 20 years ago pierced the regular size cans just fine but when I went to put stop leaking a different vehicle the same day it wouldn't pierce either can of the two pack of the refrigerator with oil
Used in myChevy S 10 Feb 25, 2025. Only about half of the can of Freon stop leak was injected into my system. About half remained in the Can. I continued to service my system with regular Freon. The whole can of regular Freon was injected into my system. Possibly? was the Can blocked or not enough pressure to inject into my system? I filed a return with WALMART.This is the first time I've use this brand. As of now I would not recommend. MT GRAHAM, Mesa, AZ,USA.
I like the product and the price of ever purchase but I don't like how to make a return on something i ordered but was the wrong one
