SuperFriends: The Complete Collection

A fun children's cartoon that looks great in HD. Over 100 episodes are featured on sixteen discs. Some, but not all, of the show's DVD extras are carried over as the only special features on this release.

Great collection of great cartoons from my childhood. This series is what started my love for comic books and anything super hero related. Excellent deal

Man, I have been wanting a set just like this for probably 10 years now. I haven't watched through it all yet, but it's great reliving childhood memories from a simpler time. It's got everything in it. They don't call it "Complete" for nothing! There is something to be said for superheroes that are not so jaded and gray, as they are often now. Heroes you can look up to and be inspired by. Good vs Evil, black/white plot lines have value, something that isn't always championed today as much. I say all of this as someone who loves the Dark knight trilogy and The Batman, as that certainly works best with a character like him. On the flipside, I see someone like, say, Superman, who really shines in the more traditional super-stories that Super Friends has to offer. It's excellent family entertainment; little kids can actually watch these derring-dos and it's infinitely charming as an adult.

Glad to have this set but Warner needs to cool it on the dnr. Also there is at least one segment missing that was present on the dvd. Also, this set runs close to $100, why are you shipping it in an envelope? The case was broken in transit. Not cool

For years it's been almost impossible to compile the entire Super Friends collection. Most of the DVDs were OOP and hard to find. Now we have the complete series in one collection. Have I watched the entire collection so far...NO. I's huge and will take a lot of time to burn through it. Why the 4 stars? The main thing is the packaging. It's CHEAP! With this collection I would have like to have seen a booklet with the titles of the episodes at least. There is nothing. The 2nd gripe is the packaging to hold the discs is horrible. You have to be very careful taking the discs out as they are stuck in the packaging and bend when trying to remove them. The content is what matters most and it's amazing! If you are a fan of the Super Friends, you will not be disappointed...with the content!

The series is great. Disc 1 of the 1978 season is cracked and won't play.
