It's very soft at the touch and seems a good quality cotton material. There is some plastic smell when you open it the first time that didn't completely go away during first wash. It should go away with multiple washing.

I wish it were softer, and the color a darker navy, but in all, it's fine

THIS WAS A GIFT TO A RELATIVE IN ANOTHER STATE; ALTHOUGH SHE SAID THE TOWELS ARE NICE, SHE WAS ASTONISHED THAT THE COLOR IS NOT AS REPRESENTED. THEY ARE ALMOST A BRIGHT ' ORANGE' , NOT THE ' CORAL' SHE WAS EXPECTING. I UNDERSTAND ALL MONITORS ARE NOT THE SAME, HOWEVER, THE DESCRIPTION DID SAY ' CORAL' , SO I'M QUITE DISAPPOINTED AS THAT IS ALL I WAS ABLE TO GET FOR HER FOR CHRISTMAS.

These are very nice towels, but if you're looking for a subtler coral, you'll be disappointed. The ones I received are a deep, bold orange that I can only hope will fade. They wash well and are very nice looking, but the color!
