The Version You Haven't Seen
When director Richard Donner set out the film Superman The Movie he already had the sequel pretty well scripted out. Since most scenes of both films where the same places, Donner filmed the scenes of both films simultaneously in order to save on time and money. When WB pushed Donner to finish the 1st film to meet his deadline Donner had filmed about 85% of the sequel. Unfortunatley his vision of Superman II didn't see the light of day. WB brought on a different director for the sequel, and most of what Donner filmed was scrapped and just sat in a vault. 30yrs later, Donner's version of the film was finally pieced together as closely as possible with Donner overseeing the process to treat fans for the 1st time the version of Superman II the way it was intended. This blu-ray is a must have as part of the Superman film franchise. Now you can enjoy the sequel in two different ways: the Theatrical Version, and The Richard Donner Cut which offers an alternate version the way the sequel was meant to be seen, definitely buy this and rediscover Superman II all over again!
