It's effective for bleaching dark black hair, but be cautious not to leave it on for an extended period. Your hair will literally melt off! Instead, use this with bleach powder and perform bleaching sessions of 20 minutes or less, spaced a week apart, to avoid damaging your hair and giving your scalp chemical burns. This approach is based on my personal experience and what worked for me, considering I have naturally jet black hair that's notoriously difficult to lighten to a shade of icy blonde. Keep in mind, your results may vary significantly, especially if your hair color is lighter than black.

NOT impressed. Thought it would lighten up even more than 40 dev does. Nooo, it's not near as light as the level 40 gets me. I'll stick with the other brand's 40 dev.
