They do run small. My son is usually a size 5/6 and they were out of stock, but I went with a 7 (my son was in love with the design and had to have them). The 7 fits perfectly. It does have waist strings so the fit can be adjusted a bit too which makes ordering a size up a safe choice. Quality is great, well made and the material has a good feel. The print is good too. Very happy with the purchase and would buy them again and would also look to them for items in the future. My son also absolutely adores them too!
