I used to use one of those "green" outlets that has control outlets, "always on," and ones that only turn on when the control plug is on. It is a HUGE pain and not every item plugged in the control spot can actually control the other outlets. This surge protector has a good amount of outlets, so even if I have a weird-shape plug that takes up extra space, I can still plug in more items. It's nice and compact, and has 3 USB ports and a USB-C port. The cord length works to get from my desk to the wall outlet. I like it!
Great arrangement of the outlets on this powerstrip. Makes it easy to plug in two "larger" items along with several other "standard" size plugs. The addition of the two USB-A and one USB-C charging ports makes connecting other electronics very convenient. All of that is provided in a footprint that doesn't take up a lot of space. The 6FT cord length provides flexibility to locate this device in the most convenient place. Very happy with this item and would recommend to anyone needing a power strip.
The design is close to perfect for what I need it for. Lots of outlets far enough apart from each other. Assuming the protection is good, this is a nice surge suppressor. Hopefully its protection ability won't be tested in my setup :).
Perfect to put next to my husband's nightstand. It has enough USB ports to charge all of his apple devices and more than enough outlets to plug everything else into. The 6 foot cord is just the right length to reach the wall outlet.
There are plenty of outlets, the cord is the correct length for what I need, and the surge protection is good. It's a nice addition under my desk. The two wall plugs just weren't enough for my needs. This fit the bill.
One of the few surge protectors that actually has an intelligent layout for the outlets: all of them can be used without the plugs and cords interfering with each other! The USB charger ports are a nice bonus.
The point of having this was to hook up our DJ equipment. The cord is so short, we can't use it for that. It's fine if you only need it for home. Wish I'd have paid more attention to how short it was. It took a bit to arrive, but that's just shipping these days, I guess.
Does not have enough USB "C" ports. Too many outlets. Something like 4 outlets and 4-6 "C" would have been so much better. "c" is where everything is going. Probably would not have purchased if the sales price was not so good. Would not pay normal price.
I purchased a set of these surge protectors. (Surge Protector Power Strip , ONDOG 6ft Extension Cord with 8 Outlets and 3USB Ports %26 1USB C Port, 2700 Joules, ETL Listed, Black) was how they are listed. Several times in the description and specifications the claim is made that 2700 joules of protection is provided however when the actual box came it said they are rated to 2100 joules of protection. I made this purchase based upon the claim that these offer 2700 joules of protection. This is a classic bait and switch scam and likely they will say it was just a typo. Well that typo seemed to have happened several times in this one product. please see the picture.
cheaply constructed and/or manufactured. description says its 2700 joules but it isnt. looks nice on the picture but in person very light weight %26 the cord very thin.. i would not trust this surge protector on my expensive electronics. cant take a chance. it might be ok protecting my hand mixer. but not electronics. i liked the 8 outlets %26 6 ft cord but not for my computer etc
