Awesome purchase! First full electric bike bought. I did not want to spend a lot of money without knowing. Did my research on this one and there were great reviews. I received the bike in a timely manner. I charged it and put air in the tires. It rides great! Im about 180, and it goes about 18/20 mph. I live 3 miles away from work and can go for about 2 days before having to charge. Ive already reached out to the maker of this bike via Facebook and have purchased a backup battery and spare tires. I also bought lights for it, a cup holder, and the 550 air pump. The only thing I did that the company should do is make a plug for the battery charger spot. I put a piece of Velcro over the hole with a small hole so that I can plug it in. I used a waterproof silicon ear plug to insert so that no water or dirt can get into it. And then the opposite side of the Velcro to make sure it holds in place. The pro is the full electric bike, half and half, or manual. Full all the way for me! Love it!!
haven't been able to ride it as we just got 6 in of snow in Northeast Montana but looks like a great sturdy bike and was able to adjust seat and handlebars to fit
I love this bike would buy another in a heartbeat
This is a great bike. My daughter and I bought these to use when we are camping. The only complaint is the saddle. Its rather small. Im an older woman and I need a better padded seat. Other than that I love this little bike. It a get get me around a camp site.
Nice ebike for short commute rides, seems overall good quality and good looking, folds easily, and is lightweight compared to other ebikes. I was looking for a smaller ebike that I can store in my house and office in order to commute about 3 miles. I have another full-size cruiser bike from swagtron, and that was just too massive and heavy to maneuver around. But I liked the gears and the graded pedal assist in my full size bike. I used to bike a lot on regular bikes, so I am still looking for that feeling of a slight workout and the ability to adjust my gear. The swagtron EB5 Pro feels more like a scooter to me that you can move the pedals , without any resistance though. Because the moment you move the pedals at any rate, the motor propels you up to a certain speed [ I guess around 12mph], and pedaling becomes unnecessary and has zero resistance to it. So it's fun if that's the type of vehicle you are looking for, but not for me. Also, the seat is tremendously uncomfortable [ can be exchanged] and the bike has zero suspension [ a killer for my back]. Again, probably very suitable for short urban commutes [and young folks with good backs], but I will look for something else. But 5 starts for Walmarts easy and FREE return policy.
Easily unfolded for the road. Smaller than imagined, however, it zipped around at what I assumed was 15-20 mph without paddling. Downside was the paddling. If you ran ran out of juice it was hard to paddle like a normal bike. I tried it out on flat and inclined surfaces. The seat was not stable. The front of the seat was easily tilted upward The ratchet mechanism is totally ineffective in holding the seat in place, I weigh between 164 - 168lbs. Fully charged in 4 hours. Inclines greater than ten degrees became difficult, sluggish chain paddling again. 17 miles was max in traveled on single charged and I had 1 bar still green, when I got home. It met my needs and is fun to ride. great find at the time. A friend of mine bought an Anscheer paddle assist 26" that was on sale December of 2018 for around $700 - marked down from $0 $1,400 plus. That one is definitely more comfortable. Regardless, the kid wrecked my car and they had a delay in getting parts. So overall, with a moderate sized ruck sack to carry groceries, it was great. I live near an Army base with two 5k plus towns within 7 miles radius and there were plenty of comments and questions. Dude, " I see you zipping around on that thing all the time, then I noticed you weren't paddling"! So, I would run down the above. But just remember, "Heavy Metal Kills" and you have to do as much looking out for cars as they do for you. I have not ridden bikes since Germany 40 years ago and continue, as then, to hug the out side of that right lane, and zip around parking lots and back streets. So far, so good. Handles well on snow and in rain. I wear a motorcycle helmet and this groovy looking combo reflective face shield-sunglass thing that friend gave me. I had never seen one before. Over all I am happy with the purchase. Hopefully, the prices on e-bikes will stabilize or come down. I will probably purchase the Rad Wagon 4 next, but think it is a bit pricey @ $1,600. Finally, I am impressed with the power of that little hub engine.
Bike came without a handlebar bolt I like the bike but the handlebars aren't snapping I hand to create a brace to get it to stay up but with that on I can't fold the bike but the bolt problem is solved
My brand new EB5-pro plus being used for only 6 months and stopped working. Was initially suspicious about the defective motor since the else functional parts of the bike were all in good condition. Since i know nothing about the motor so i called swagtron to see what to do. The lady in the phone was somehow sounding impatiently and before I can fully describe my bike issue, she asked me to file the RMA first and then the conversion was over. I then found from the website and did it. In the RMA application, I fully described what was going on to the bike and received the RMA barcode and return option Swagtron provided next day. Although I have to pay for the returning fee ($35), I thought maybe the technician felt the abnormality of this bike and therefore asked me to send it back to them immediately. But I WAS WRONG!!! I bought a heavy-duty big box and luckily able to put the bike in it. The bike was properly packed with many foam and buffering materials (picture attached) and shipped to Swagtron. 2-3 weeks after they received my bike, I received the invoice from the Swagtron, stating that the bike had damage on the hinge and clamp with bend frame which made the battery hard to get out and bike frame hard to fold/unfold, which was not fixable unless to replace the whole frame. technician managed to closed it and found the motor cable was unplugged. After plugged it the bike is working. The technician thought the bike had an accident to cause that and only thing fixable is one plastic pedal. They therefore attached a bill with $9.99 for a new pedal and $ 89.99 for labor fee. I was so surprised seeing this information since my bike never had accident except hit the curbside rock once, making one pedal loose. But that was not what causing the bike stop working. I then called them and the customer service lady just read the invoice. I asked her why no one told me to simply check if the motor cable unplugged before you send me the RMA, or before I shipped the package. There were plenty times to prevent this from happening!!! In my application for the RMA, I clearly stated what was going on. How come the technician still felt the bike had an accident. So obvious communication gaps between their RMA team with the technician! Finally, the customer service lady just asked me if I want repair those or not. I said it depends if the bike is still usable or not. She said she will get back to me next Monday after talking with technician (possibly can bring me some pictures). Next Monday, I received the email saying my bike had been shipped back to me. I immediately called them and the same lady answered the phone. She said the reason they decided to shipped it back was because I rejected to repair it and all she did was to check if the shipping back fee will be waived or not. Since it was waived, so they just shipped back to me, with a damaged bike!
Bike stopped working after 2 months of use - just started working in the return, replacement process and it appears it is going to be a headache!
arrived with a bent sprocket and now the chain makes a clicking noise like it is going to jump off the quality control for these bikes is awful
