Taste good
Love this Organic Freeze-Dried Tart Cherries - It taste so good both in my morning smoothy and eat it as my afternoon snack.
Tasty nutritional food to add to salads. Good purchase!
So glad I found dried tart cherries Swanson's site.Looked all over for them, very hard to locate, lo & behold Swanson's had them. Only sorry have to pay for shipping if I want to re-order & combined purchases are under $50. Overall, happy w/the product.
I decided to do sometihng different this year for Easter, and so I bought only a few treats with beet sugar (a chocolate bar for each kid) and the rest of the treats were bags of yummy sweet organic dried fruit! The kids loved them, it was a lot more $$$ but well worth it! These are so round and crunchy, like popcorn, but definately a sour taste. I love sour, so these are awseome!!!!
I can't make any assertions about health benefits from this product, but they taste great. I live a lo-carb lifestyle, so I look for no-sugar added occasional treats. These fit the bill perfectly. I haven't tried to rehydrate them or use them in recipies; I like them too much straight from the bag--they taste like Sweettarts.
I didn't notice the part of the product description that said these need to be consumed within a week of opening and you're instructed not to refrigerate. It's not a deal breaker but I live alone and these are expensive-ish so I don't like the pressure to consume.\n\nAs others have said, this is a great product! I've never had freeze-dried fruit before and I love the crunchy versus chewy texture. Yep, they're tart! But no sugar added is a must for me.
Expensive, but a very easy way to incorporate tart cherries. My goal is to ameliorate uric acid spikes, so not sure it it helpful because my levels are within normal limits, but very portable and easy to mix with other foods.
I love fruit without added sugar so I was so disappointed in the these too tart dried cherries. They were sticking in my teeth and I just didn't care for them. I had to eat them up in seven days according to the package so I forced myself to eat them.
I was very dissatisfied with this product. I disliked the texture and extremely bitter taste. The product does come with a warning about possible pieces of cherry pits. I came across two pieces on my first try. I didn't eat anymore for fear of breaking a tooth.
