I've been using this product for months now. Works wonders for me. I don't have a problem with clumping. I add it in a bottle of water or drink using the plastic measuring spoon provided and just shake it and dissolves fine. I plan on continue to buy.
I put in cold apple juice, give it a swirl, and it instantly dissolved. No taste. I don't use the full scoop., don't need that much. Love it. It didn't cause torn up bowels, like the tablets do. Not acid, no problems after with acid.
Some reviews are saying it tastes bad and turns to clumps of rock when mixing it.. #1: mix it with a half glass of orange juice to increase absorption and the orange juice still tastes good. #2: add it to the juice slowly while simultaneously stirring to keep it from clumping.
When mixing this product, it should never touch metal. Do not use a metal spoon or blender with metal blades. Only use a wooden spoon or popsicle stick or else the molecular structure of magnesium will change.
I was skeptical because of all the reviews saying that it doesn't dissolve. The person on the phone convinced me to order it. The first time I used it, yes, it clumped into a big blob, so I wasn't happy. Then, my fiance made a brilliant suggestion that should be given on the description and stated by the salespeople at the site. Don't just pour the whole dispenser cupful in at once. Sprinkle and stir with a spoon, sprinkle a bit more and stir. Yes, it takes a tiny bit longer, but the product is fine. It doesn't clump if you add it to your liquid that way. Try it. You'll like it. It does help my digestion a LOT. Probiotics alone don't work for me. With this product, I'm regular. Hooray!
I purchased this product when the the Swanson Magnesium Glycinate was out of stock. I use these magnesium powders to alkalize water that I have distilled and filtered. Both work well but the citrate version is probably a touch more transparent and tasteless at the expense of the soft, pillowy mouthfeel of the glycinate version. The glycinate version dissolves MUCH easier though.
I bought this expecting it to fizz like Natural Calm, but it doesn't. I also thought it would taste tart like Natural Calm, but it doesn't. It tastes really weird, although much better and milder than dissolved Epsom salts, which are super gross. Also, I don't understand why it just clumps up into a sticky blob and doesn't dissolve. I've tried hot and cold water and it does the same thing. I guess it does the job once you get it down, but the prep is disappointing and a pain. I wanted something I could quickly stir into my tea or a glass of water in the morning before running out the door, but no can do with these globs of goo. No wonder it is so cheap. I won't be buying this again. I enjoy the tart flavor of Mg citrate, so not sure why they would eliminate it.
I have used other brands of powdered magnesium in the past but thought I would try this one since it was cheaper. I have used it several times with different liquids and continue to have clumpy mess and end up using a spoon to get the mixture out of the glass. Very unhappy with the product.
This tastes really bad. I tried it in my tea and couldn't drink it.
I used the past formulation of Magnesium Citate Powder everday for many years and never had issues with the powder dissolving, but this new product really clumps up badly. Often when I add water to the powder a solid sticky clump forms, about the size of a marble. I have to throw the clump away and this wastes product and is very discouraging because I don't really know how much product actually dissolved in the water. I really hope Swanson's considers bringing back the old mag citrate powder.
