What form of B-12? (Question answered - cyanocobalamine, methylcobalamine)

Meredith B. March 12, 2020

I'm the same "Meredith D." who wrote the review with the criticism about the type of B-12 not being disclosed. I had to sign out of my account to write this review because they don't let users submit two reviews (which probably keeps people from posting duplicate positive or negative postings, so that's a good thing). \n\nAnyhow, I contacted Swanson customer support, and they were able to contact the company who makes PANMOL. It turns out that the type of B-12 in the supplement is cyanocobalamine and methylcobalamine, so it is an active form of B-12. I'm no longer worried about taking this supplement, so I'm glad I didn't get around to throwing it out. It looks like this will suit my needs, and I haven't noticed any rancid smells like the other user, so I'm going to start using it.\n\nI'm very happy that this product doesn't contain ridiculously large amounts of most of the vitamins listed with the exception of the biotin, which isn't a big deal.

Real, Solid, Undeniable, Positive Results!!!

Kingdragonfly February 5, 2018

Having used natural supplements for very much my whole life, I became passionate about natural supplements and have always searched everywhere for the very best. With age and other personal factors, my health situation has greatly complicated and supplement benefits have been very variable. I've tried other food state, food based, food this and food that vitamins with dissapointing results until now. The results were shocking as they came so quickly. Don't be fooled by the small amounts in the label. These B vitamins are super, mega, ultra absorbable and effective!!! Every part of my body is benefitting! I take one Real Food multivitamin capsule together with a capsule of the Real Food B Complex with every meal. Jump in! Thank you Swanson and thank you PANMOL (manufacturer brand)!!

This is the best B-Complex I have found.

Charlene J. July 18, 2020

Because I know how important the B Vitamins are, I take the B-Complex. I chose the Real Food product, because I think the Quinoa Sprouts will deliver the cleanest and and most beneficial results.

Finally! B Complex with no nausea!

Prettygood May 1, 2019

This is the first B complex in pill form that I have used that didn't cause nausea or a stomach ache. I think because it doesn't have silica or magnesium stearate in it.

Can't fully tell between any B Complex

rlong98 October 16, 2019

I don't know what to say, because I don't feel any different compared to other B-Complex. Urine does not turn yellow with this, so i'm not sure what that is a sign of (good/bad/neither)?

Organic is preferable to synthetic.

Carol L. August 15, 2020

I like these because they are produced from organic sources. I haven't noticed any changes in my health, which is generally excellent, so I can't honestly rate them using your stars below.

goes rancid before expiration

Susie December 2, 2019

I stored these at room temp (below 72 degrees) and when I opened the bottle the product smells rancid. I've used these in the past and did not have this issue. They smell like old grain that's been in the back of the cupboard for too many years. The quinoa or rice filler must be rancid. Too late to return.

What form of B-12?

Meredith D. February 17, 2020

I was excited to see a product that didn't have ridiculously high doses of all of the B vitamins; but, unfortunately, I bought this before I read the ingredients closely. I assumed that the B-12 is active, but there is no way to know this because it does not list the type of B-12 included in the product. It should be either cyanocobalamin or methylcobalamin. As far as I'm aware, there isn't any active B-12 in quinoa sprouts. I went to the PANMOL site, and it says that it's active B-12 but does not list any research or disclose the type of B-12 in the product. The research section of their page literally has zero research listed. I'm not going to trust this product as my source of B-12 and will seek out another product.
