Because the ascorbic acid is 500 mg. and so is the citrus bioflavonoid complex, it is a 1:1 ratio which is terrific! Then 50 mg. of rutin are also included.
Pills are small and smooth and easy to swallow, and the bottle has an easy to open pop-up lid. This product contains vitamin C plus bioflavonoids and rutin making it the complete C-complex.
I have returned to this formula and it's a good choice for Vitamin C supplementation. It contains both rutin and bioflavonoids, both excellent for immune health. These ingredients boost the effectiveness of the C. It's reasonably priced for 250 tablets. The only drawback is the tablets are large and a bit hard to swallow, but I can live with that considering the other benefits.
I recently bought Swanson Supreme C Complex, and it was the same great formula BUT, IT HAD BEEN CHANGED FROM THE NORMAL CAPSULES TO TABLETS `?THIS WAS A SHOCK AS i FIND LARGE TABLETS MORE DIFFICULT TO SWALLOW AND MY WIFE CANNOT USE THE BIG HARD TABLETS. THIS WAS DISAPPOINTING.I then ordered four bottles of PureWay C which is not called by that name anymore at Swanson, and found that the Bioflavinoid content had been reduced by half, from 200 to 100 mg. per capsule ! Why? However, it was still in capsule form, which was GOOD.PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR ORIGIONAL CITRUS BIOFLAVINOID COMPLEX, LIKE IT USED TO BE ! i USED THAT FOR YEARS AND THE NEW FORMULA DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE. Too much Bitter Orange - Too Much Synepherine.
I made a mistake ordering these, as I didn't read closely enough that these were tablets (really big tablets). In order for me to get them down, I generally split them. Will not be ordering again.
Too big and too rough coating Hard to swallow
I bought these about a month ago and I hate the tablet form. Please bring back the capsules. The tablets are harder to swallow and they don't slide down very well. They also leave a foul taste in the mouthI didn't taste anything with the capsules.
I am sure it is fine, but they are too big for me, only had two tablets, didn't realize with the bioflavonoids and Rutin that the tablet would be bigger than I can comfortably take. So had to abandon them. For quickness I had to buy some smaller ones from a local store. Wished I had thought to ask if they were capsules. Will remember next time.

Previous purchases of this vitamin were in capsule form. I was very disappointedto fine they are now tablets. They are large and difficult to swallow. Will not buy them again.
