I can tell you that I work in doors all day, and at night so I don't get a lot of sun. This is one of the only products on the market I have seen like this that offers D-2 and D-3 in the same formulation, the only other time I have seen D-2 in formulation is when a doctor prescribes it for patients with severe vitamin D deficiency.From my own experience I had been on this product for several months, and I asked my doctor to check my vitamin D levels. I work in the medical field and have seen so many patients pop up low on their vitamin D levels its scary. My doctor told me that generally all of us that work in doors are generally low on vitamin D. I told her I wanted her to check it anyways because I wanted to know how effective my supplementation regiment has been.I got it checked and to my surprise I was within normal range. I would recommend this product especially for indoor workers who don't get a lot of sun, because even with just taking the D-3 supplements they still have to be photo-activated by sunlight exposure and with the D-2 it doesn't need to be. This product attacks the vitamin D supplementation from both ends and gives you a great bang for your buck.

Using D2+D3 is the only way to go. I take 5 a day open them up in my morning drink. 4 weeks my D level went up 11 points. My level was a 28 its not up about 50.

But the cost, for the formulation, is very good!\n I will let you know once I have tested the formula \u2013\n\nBTW \u2013 I happen to be a professional nutritionist

For way less cost, there are other brands that do combine these two essentials for Calcium absorption into bone.

Find more information about vitamin D2 compared to D3. D2 is "vegetable" vitamin D while D3 is "animal/human" version. D2 is not as effective as D3 and it can even block D3 from working. Human skin produces D3 from the sun.
