If you're looking for SOFT conversation hearts, you need the Brach's brand. This is the classic NECCO style conversation heart and they are meant to CRUNCH and they CRUNCH fabulously. I get these because it's the only time you get NECCO with banana flavoring--though these are a bit hard to tell which are the yellows because there's a lot of dye mixing with others and look a bit muddy; does not affect the taste though. The bold peppermint however seems to be missing and some other very notable but mystery flavor is in here now; a grape or something perhaps? Seems like its on the navy/black ones that for normal wafers would be licorice, but the mystery flavor is strong and sweet and enjoyable. Anyway, a little sad the cosmetic side of these took a dip but unless you're doing an art project or actually planning to read them all it's not a huge deal.

My 100-calorie sweet treat turned out to be a BITTER DISAPPOINTMENT. These are NOT the Sweethearts I USED TO buy. They are VERY HARD and CHALKY, LOOK SLOPPY and TASTE TERRIBLE! Whoever oversees Production and Quality Control needs to be FIRED . The owner of the brand name should either get a producer who knows and cares about what they're doing, or just STOP! I feel like would have gotten the same, if not more, out of my hard-earned $$ if I had used it for toilet paper, because I feel like that's exactly what I got.
