Swiffer Sweeper XL Starter Kit (1 Sweeper, 10 Pad Refills)

Before I purchased this great, wonderful, sweeper, my wife would mop the floor with me and now she loves and uses the sweeper and I'm free to do my favorite hobbies: Nothing!

This is a great picker-upper and does a superb job on pet hair. I like the size as I have a big house and a small sweeper just does not cut it. Had been looking for a bigger one and this certainly fits the bill. It easy to maneuver under furniture and around just about anything.

I have the regular size Swiffer Dry Sweeper but wanted a larger one to reduce cleaning time. This one is great for covering more floor space in less time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love this xl sweeper, yet I'm having trouble finding xl wet pads. The only thing besides that is I wish swiffer would reinforce the material the handle is made of. I like to bare down on a mop to really get my floors clean and the way the handle is now it bends and I feel like I'm going to break it.

I've only used the wet pads to clean our laminate floor so I can't comment on the dry pads. PROS: The wet pads smell great and the floor looks and feels clean. CONS: - The sectional handle is very thin aluminum and feels very flimsy. Feels like it could easily break. - It takes effort to keep the mop head from flipping upside down when pulling it towards you. Pushing away from you is never a problem. - The pads are too wet out of the bag (dripping wet), but they have no moisture left after about 150 sq ft. I used 3 pads the first time I used it. I now squirt the pad with little water before it gets completely dry, and it still seems to clean just as well. MIXED: I like the XL size but I have had some difficulty finding replacement pads in stock. CONCLUSION: The design of this particular Swiffer does not meet my needs or expectations, but I like it much better than the microfiber pad and Bona spray I was using before. I am going to invest in a higher quality Swiffer with a solid handle, reusable pads and the attached spray bottle.

This product is great at picking up dust and hair, but it is not a replacement for a broom and dustpan. It does not pick up dirt or tiny rocks that might be brought in on someone's shoes and it does not pick up kitty litter. I like that it is easy to set up and operate, and it shifts around to go under furniture, which is nice. But, I think this product is more fit for households that don't have pets and children, which can track in a lot of things on the floor.

The product itself is great, but the wet mop cloths that come with it are not the proper size. They are too small. Not sure why it would make any sense to include the standard size if the Swiffer cleaner is extra large?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tired of companies making products that require the consumer to search high and low to locate the items needed to use the product. The refill pads only come with 12 wet pads, double packs are not offered, not located in enough stores, and not always in stock.

This was purchased for a college dorm room. The wet cloth works great for extremely small spaces, otherwise it dries very quickly and isnt wet enough to mop an entire space. The dry cloth sweeps okay enough, but the particles DO NOT STICK as advertised, so you still have to use a dustoan.

The new Swiffer I bought doesn't swivel the way the old one did and you cannot shake it out when you're done. It doesn't go around objects as easily as the old one did. The pad seems to be smaller, harder to get into the "slots," and it seems to only pick up dust or dog hairs on the 2 ends.
