I brought this to the pool the other day and put my 12 month old in it. He is a big boy at 25 pounds. He was comfortably sitting and i didnt have to keep my hands on his the whole time he could splash in the water and even layed back and lounged most of the time we were in the pool. I didnt use the canopy attachment because we were indoors.
Love, LOVE this float!! It comes with it's own little carry pouch, extremely travel friendly. We leave it in the car! It was a little difficult to blow up the first time but since then it hasn't been a problem. It takes some practice to fold back up but my husband quickly mastered it, as well as getting all the air out so it fits back into it's little pouch. My 1 year old loves it, as do my nieces, 20 months & 3 years. The canopy is great because it's easily adjustable & removable. Baby sits down in it so he isn't going to tumble out and there's nothing blocking is line of sight like in some floats I've seen. So far none of the babies have splashed in the mesh area however us parents have used it to stash random items that got carried into the water, such as water bottles, flip flops, beach balls, and baby sunglasses that he refuses to wear :) Whenever we use it someone always asks where I got it. It's definitely on the top of our must have summer items, right up there with sunscreen ;) Oh and the first time we used it my baby actually fell asleep in it! And he never sleeps anywhere besides in his own bed!!
Purchased for my 5 month old grandson. Blowing up was a challenge since you have to bite down on the piece used to inflate a little to move the air. Easily deflated and storable. Good quality. Would reccommend!!!
I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! We ordered this for our 2.5 year old (3'2" and 38lb.) to use in an indoor pool at our gym. This works great for him to hang out while we exercise, even pushing him in the floaty as part of our exercise regiment. This is the 2nd floaty in this style that we have ordered for him (the first met its demise by popping in a super hot car, so pull the plug before leaving it in your car so air can escape) and we would absolutely order another if anything happened to this one.
My 3 month old son loves it! It holds his head well and the canopy is great to keep the sun off him!
I've looking around for something like this for my 10 months old baby. We live in FL at 15 min from the beach so this will be used a lot. My baby loves the ocean! We have used it several times and what I like the most is the canopy. Others out there are pretty and colorful BUT none gives you the coverage of this one. I also like how allows the baby to get more body under water and the wide and flat section surrounding it to play or placing any toy. Also, compare to others I bought, the sit is made out of fabric (similar to the one in men swimwear) which is more gentle/soft and doesn't rub baby's thighs.
Looking for a practical and safe float for our 5 month old grand baby. She loves it! Balanced well for size (doesn't tip over); canopy shades well; she loves the mesh splash-play area; and it carries well in the zippered shoulder tote. Would highly recommend. This is a fun idea for babies to safely enjoy the water. Not a life-preserver, so be sure and use with constant supervision.
My son is 11 months old and is large for his age....this floatie holds him well and he can relax and play in the water. The canopy is amazing as well! He has thin hair and I worry about his little head getting sun-burned, and with the canopy it doesn't. I'm also impressed with the durability of this floatie. Most swim devices are pretty easy to poke holes in, but this one is very well protected and seems strong and durable. The only thing I've noticed that I might would change is the middle netting between the two floatie rings. My son leans over to touch the water and sticks his face right in that netting part that lets water in, and he swallows a lot of water there. But hey, its almost perfect! I love it! I also bought one for my niece who is only a month older than my son.
Holds my 16mth old twins. One twin is 19pds and the other is 21pds. It seems like it will hold them for awhile.
This was too big for my 27 pound 8-month-old. The water came up to his chin so if he barely looked down his mouth was in the water. Great product but probably not for a baby under 20 pounds or so.
