Swing-N-Slide Scout Swing Set DIY Hardware Kit (Wood Not Included)

We just put this up for my 4 year olds birthday! We love it! Very sturdy with easy to use instructions. This took my husband about 3 hours to put together and he only needed my help for about 30 of those minutes. We plan on staining the wood in the spring and I think this will be a nice addition to our backyard! We added a baby swing as well.

Had a sligh issue with a missing part but Katrina Gore took care of it right away. Would still recomend this company's play sets.

This swing set is awesome! It took my husband and I 2.5 hrs to build it. It is so sturdy and will be used for many years to come!

This is a study kit with clear instructions. I can swing my 200 lb body on it without hearing creaking or seeing any wobble in the structure. Overall it cost me $80 in lumber. The bolts that go through the end of the main beam arent long enough. I had to drill an indent with a 1.5 inch bit to get it to fit and i had to get creative with my slightly too short bits to get all the way through. Definitely takes the hassle out of designing it myself though.

This kit is super easy to build and makes building your own swing set well worth the cost, BUT i didn't find out until too late that mine was missing pieces. It was missing the hangers for one of the swings. i found one for $10 at my local hardware store. The included screws are not great quality, and many of them broke off while drilling them into the wood. So I bought some nice wood screws and they went right in like butter. The included drill bit does not drill well, or go all the way thru the 4x6 so i bought a long 3/8 bit as well. All in all a great value, but i did have to spend extra to complete the swing set properly.

Item was good quality overall; screws were galvanized, no sharp edges on the brackets, shipped quickly. Instructions a little confusion because they are for 3 or 4 different options, but I was able to figure it out. 2-star rating because Incorrect bolts were included for attaching the A-frame brackets to the top beam. You can't bolt a 4x6 beam into a bracket with a 5 1/2" bolt! if you buy this also order yourself up 4x 6" or 6 1/4" by 3/8 carriage bolts and you'll be good to go. Also you might need an extra long drill bit to drill through the top beam. The crappy one included won't do the job. I'd buy it again though.

The provided carriage bolt is not 6-1/2” long as stated. It is only 5-1/2” and not long enough to be used for 4 by 6 beam. Cannot assemble it without those bolts.
