I used them on a swing I made for my grandchildren. I used them to go thru a 4x4 they had plenty of room for a bigger piece of wood if needed

I was very happy to find these to replace the old ones that had worn out on our swing set. The only thing I don't like about them is they don't glide smoothly when someone is swinging. They don't squeak, but they do kind of grind a bit. I was hoping for a smoother feel.

awful nuts
after drilling my holes in my 4x6 joist for my kids playset, the swing hangars went in just fine. HOWEVER, all the nuts that came with them striped out after not even tightening them down enough to keep the hangars stiff. Bought 4 nuts from Home Depot for ~ 15 cents each. If you're going to sell hardware where kids' safety is concerned, I suggest this seller should include better nuts.
