A solid feeling machine.
This is a solid stapler and you know so the first time you use it. It takes very little push to staple something. Our previous Swingline stapler was a solid plastic, which eventually broke when a small piece of inside plastic cracked. No more plastic staplers at our house.,

Don't be fooled the base is plastic.
I wanted a good quality metal stapler. One like we had from back in the day. But this was advertised as metal so I bought it... but don't be fooled. While the top is made of metal the base is entirely plastic. This is why things don't last... they are not made like they used to be.

Disappointing Christmas gift
I did not receive the stapler I ordered!!!!!!! True blue is a royal blue or a Ky. Blue. I received dark navy and I am very upset. I have waited for this christmas gift, which was handed picked, by the man that wanted it. IT's the WRONG COLOR. I think somebody switched out the stapler. The box top looked liked it had been opened MORE THAN ONCE! Walmart, you should offer to help me . Christmas is coming quick. I know he will be disappointed and so am I

Swing line stapler—JUNK
Bought this for the office even tho I only need to use a few a day. Here it is 4 mos later and I'm rdy to throw it out the window. Jams every time I try to use. Then spend my time trying to un-jam! Very frustrating. The $8 stapler I bought for my home use works 100x better. Do not buy

Gets Stuck Every Time You Staple
This particular Swingline 747 stapler gets stuck into an unusable position every time you staple one thing. Then you have to pry the staple loading section (carriage? hammer?) away from the top (handle?) and then it will close to the normal, functional stapler status. This stapler is basically new. We just received it 2-3 weeks ago. I searched the internet for solutions but didn't find anything other than 2 unresolved posts about the same issue on r/staplers. I've used and fixed a lot of staplers in my life but this one is beyond me. Maybe we got a lemon. I'm really hoping our hospital's Supply Manager contacts Swingline about the Lifetime Guarantee because this particular stapler is a waste of tax dollars.
