Swingline Optima 70 Desk Stapler, Reduced Effort, 70 Sheets, Silver

Over all it is excellent. Very easy to use and handles sixty plus sheets easily without straining but works well on two sheets also. Exactly what I was looking for!

I am a tax preparer and I need a stapler for large stacks of paper. This one is great and easy to remove the staple if needed. I recommend using the 3/8 length staple, but the 5/16 does a good job on most anyway. It comes with 3/8 length staples. Also it takes a minimum of pressure to staple stuff. Just great!

Typical of Swingline this stapler is quality built. What surprised me was it doesn't take much to push down and get the stapling done. Like other large capacity staplers you sometimes have to put some effort into it. This stapler has a very smooth stapling action.

I love the stapler. I just wished it indicated the size of the staples for future purchases. The staples are longer than some others. I was not aware there were different sizes!

The Swingline stapler is the best for my work. It will last longer than my previous ones. The pick-up station should be near the front of the store or with customer service. It was the best buy on the internet and the Edison store was convenient for pick up.

We love our Swingline Optima staplers. We bought the first one and then liked it so much, we went back to the office supply store and bought one for each desk. Our organization regularly produces multi-page handouts and this stapler handles 20 or more pages without any trouble at all. We've also noticed that it reduces the repetitive motion stress that happens when you are manually producing 40 or 50 sets of materials at a time. In our small all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, we need all the help we can get. Swingline produces reliable, hard-working products that are affordably priced.

My immediate response was it's a lot larger stapler than I expected, has a huge desktop footprint: 2 1/4" X 9 1/2", and is tall: 6"... I believe the dimensional information should be readily available. So far all I've done is given it a small test, stapled the cardboard box it came in four times, perfect performance! The stroke is a bit long but otherwise I am very satisfied... I actually purchesed this stapler primarily for compacting recyclable packaging so it takes less volume in the trash bin... stapling is faster and less laborious than using packaging tape... stapling is also a great stress reliever, especially with this monster! Replaced my ancient Rexel Matador.

First box of new staples--Optima 35550. These replaced the free staples in the box. The staples miss the "anvil" by a mile. Swingline youtube videos are worthless.

It is an awful stapler. At most, it will staple together a 30-35 page document -nowhere close to the touted 70 pages.

This is the second one I have purchased, and both of them quit working within a month after minimal use. I tried to fix the first one with no success. I tried to return the second one, but they would not exchange. Terrible terrible product. Waste of money that I could've spent somewhere else. I would give this thing zero stars.
