Sylvania 7" Dual Screen Portable DVD Player

This is a review for the sylvania 7 inch dual screen portable dvd player. It was very easy to install in my vehicle. It took about 5 minutes. I love how the headrest straps go around the headrest. One strap goes around the headrest vertically and the other horizontally unlike the last portable dvd player I had the straps on it both went vertically allowing the dvd player to slip off the headrest. It played the movie well. Loud enough for.the kids to hear it but my spouse and I could still talk to each other. Overall a great portable dvd player.

Well, we got this because my 12 yr old son is a HUGE pain on long car drives. The packaging was flawless and compact (which I like) and the items were well packed. Installing these is a lot of work (you would think not but...) the way the screens attach to the back of the seat is clumsy and leave MUCH to be desired. I don't like the bulky cords that are hanging between my seats to attach one screen to another or the swinging straps from the mounting system. I did find that you can watch on just the main screen if you like so I'll only have to deal with the cords when my Grandbabies are in the car. The DVD skips if you hit a pothole that's too big, so watch out for that. The power cord is waaaaay too short for an item intended to be in the back seat...I'll have to find a longer one somehow or buy a power converter in the back (which is just more crap taking up space in my tiny Chevy Spark. Overall, the Sylvania 7 Dual Screen Portable DVD player is a good product. Quality and finished look are there to a point. The kids seem to like it though, which is the important part.

This travel DVD player is a good option for the backseat for long trips. The screens are connected together and are powered by a car lighter adapter. The cord is not super long, so you will need to plan the setup if the only option is on the dash. It is lightweight and portable and should hold up for car trips. I would recommend to family and friends.

These work well in our RV for our kids. They are pretty durable. There are a few flaws with the playing functions not being able to pick up where you left off, always starting from the beginning. Overall for the lower end price range item, it does it's job. Downfall is no remote and the straps aren't the best.

I ordered in March of this year. Worked great! Ive purchased one before only reason I had to buy a new one was because my kids would pull on them when getting in the car and the plastic holders that hold the straps snapped. Now when we aren't using them or getting out of car I take them down and place them in a secure place so this doesn't happen again. Just last week as we are driving down the road the sound completely stopped cant hear anything not even with headphones! We've tried everything!! So frustrating luckily we've found that we can download movies to their iPads and have no problems. I don't think I will be purchasing anymore portable DVD players!!

Wired great for 5 months and now the sound doesn't work at all. Past the return window so now I'm just out my money. Not worth the price.

Already broke only after a few days of having, 1 screen doesn't come on! Volume way too low for kids to hear even with headphones

Used this one time for my kids and now every time I put a disc in, it says "no disc". I have tried everything to fix it and it's brand new. Besides that, the screens are very cheap looking.

Did not work. DVD would come on for maybe a minute, then just stop. Every dvd we tried, even brand new dvds. Then one review states it comes with vertical and horizontal straps, but no, it just came with horizontal, which makes it more likely to slip down from the head rest. Also the wires that you have to use to connect it go every which way, being difficult for kids to get in with their back packs and get in the back seat. But theyre easy to trip over. None of that matters anyway, because it flat out doesnt work. And I threw the box away so Im guessing I cant return it. And this review wont let me use apostrophes in my contractions. Lol

This item is terrible I bought it for my eight-month-old daughter to have something to watch while we are in the car and it never ever works properly it's a complete pain in my butt and now I don't even know if I can return it because I threw the box away
