Sylvania 9" Premium Swivel Screen Portable DVD Player, SDVD9019

bought for my grandson, he loves it. I have bought these at one time or another for all my grandchildren. One set of grandchildren have a problem with power outages, they can use this, and also uses them when they travel, great idea. wonder when they will be coming out with a Blu-ray?

it works great and even though some other reviews say the sound is bad, I thought it was good for the size of it, it is't a surround sound it is a portable dvd player. I found the volume good not even turning it all the way up, and the charge lasts through about 2 and 1/2 to 3 movies no problem. The car charger takes awhile but does the job, and the wall charger works pretty quick. I am very satisfied with it

We had this exact player and after several years of hard use, it broke. We ordered another one and it is $20 less than we previously had paid! A great deal for a good DVD player.

The DVD player is much better than my previous sylvania player and the battery life is the greatest feature.

WAs easy to set up and use. I like that it came with a remote. the only thing that I considered a con was the bag that accompanied it for attaching to the headrest. It was extremely flimsy and cheap so I had to buy another one.

I got this dvd player for a trip so my little girl could watch her shows and enjoy the car ride for 3 and a half hours. It was okay for her because I attached my external speakers so she was able to hear over the roar of the road and any other external noise, but without the speakers, the volume only went up to 20. If you are not in an extremely quite space with the volume turned all the way up, there isn't much you can really hear. The picture quality was great and the two options for the swivel screen 90° or 180° in different directions was pretty cool as well. The price was great for the time, but for this to be a long time option...something I would want to keep and get great usage out of was just not my cup of tea.

We were looking for a DVR player to take along on long car rides with the kids. For less than $60, this Does the trick. Had no issues in recent 10 hour drive, battery lasted through 2 movies before I had to charge it using the included car charger.

Pretty easy to use and functional but the volume does not turn up very high for anyone with hearing trouble.

I bought the first one with warranty in December for my Downs Syndrome grandson... he loved it very much and used it 5 out of 7 days a week... but it only lasted until March, 3 months total,,, and the warranty did not cover the player itself, only the screen being cracked or spillage on the unit,, guess I could have poured some soda on it and used the warranty that way, but that would be dishonest... instead, I bought a replacement and gave it to my grandson, the money spent is well worth seeing the joy on his face,, but I am sorely disappointed that the player only lasted 3 months,,, the player stopped spinning and loading the cds,,, that was the problem that was NOT covered by the warranty....

It seemed like a good deal for the price. What i found was the picture quality was not good, the sound was weak with headphones, and just not good at all. I would have returned it but I lost the outer box and I know they wouldnt like that. Of note---4 hour plane flight, battery didnt last 4 hours from full charge, picture was substandard and sound was inadequate. Other than that it was awesome.
