Just screw it in. Turn it on. Tell Alexa to "find new device". You are done.

Use with apple home kit and mine and my daughters works great. Bought them around Dec. 28, 2019. It is on when it supposed to be on and off when it suppoed to be off. No hub required.

It works, if you get the sylvania app, I could not set this app with google home. Sylvania makes you create an account, you have to wait for email verification, the emails took forever to arrive(I had to wait till the morning). In any case, now it's working and I don't care through what app, it's nice to be able to dim the light and shut it off from a distance. I'm sure there are better products out there.

I purchased nearly 20 of these bulbs over two months at Walmart in Brunswick, ME. Their price was heavily subsidized by Efficiency Maine which made them very attractive. When they work they are really nice -- control them with Amazon Alexa. But the failure rate is simply ridiculous. At least 12 bulbs have totally failed (no light) in two months. The remaining bulbs continue to deliver light, but their bluetooth communication is erratic -- some days work perfectly and other days cannot be controlled by bluetooth. I returned 5 failed bulbs to Amazon and they did not want to take them back -- reluctantly did so when I began videoing my experience at the return counter. For 7 more that failed I have reached out to Sylvania tech support and they offer no explanation or support. I did receive an RMA to return 7 bulbs and did so at my shipping expense. Will see if the replacements are any better. This bulb is hard to find on the web now, suggesting that Sylvania has pulled the product. They ought to contact any owner and send a quality replacement.

these bulbs constantly flickered, like a strobe light, in about half the sockets in my house. USELESS!

Would not sync. Following directions in SYLVANIA video and did not work. No hotspot appeared either. Returning

Easy to set up and worked great for about a month and then both of the bulb I bought quit working at all. Waste of money!!

Disconnects randomly, barely works with Alexa. Just garbage

I dont do alot of reviews so ill keep this short. The bulb blows. Literally the worst 8 bucks ive ever spent. Setup says it is easy and lie detector test determined... that was a lie.

This product is trash! The packaging says it works with apple home kit but that is a straight up lie. It stopped connecting to apples home kit randomly, and then youll receive a random error message that cannot be fixed. I contacted company to fix it, and they said they would send a replacement....its been months and I havent received anything. Save your money!!!
