Good while it lasted
This player worked for about 6-8 months, and during that time, it was great. Then the VCR part stopped working. It would stay on for about 10 seconds then shut off. We used only the DVD part since then, and just last week, that would turn itself off after about 20 minutes of play time. Research online shows this is a fairly common problem with this particular machine. It would be easier to buy a new machine than to try and fix this one. Unfortunate because it was a decent player while it worked.

What a Waste!!!
I recorded about 20 DVD's before I found out that they could ONLY be played back on THIS DVD player!!! Not my computer, not my friend's DVD players, not my family's DVD players; Just THIS one. I can't even begin to describe the frustration; all the time I spent not to mention the $ on blank DVD's. I'm sure the unit won't last past X-mas and then, all the work I did and planned to do... WASTED!!! I'm CERTAINLY not going to buy a new one. I reiterate; WHAT A WASTE!!!!!
