I don't believe there is a better product for gluing oily woods other than G2. I have used it with no failures for almost 20+ years. This product has better packaging since the last time I ordered it. The containers seal better and will better prevent oxidation. Old packaging looked like reject ketchup squeeze bottles that caused the resins to become gummy over time. Also packaging listed a weight mixing ratio that is far more accurate for mixing small quantities as I do. I use an OHaus triple beam + dial that measures in 1/10ths of grams. Great for this product but I still heat parts after joining them.

Trying it for violin repairs on student instruments
I attended a class recently and the luthier there recommended this product for simple repairs, broken neck repair, soundpost cracks on student instruments that would otherwise not be worth fixing. We used it on several so far. Time will tell if they hold. It is easy to use and cleans up nice!
