T'ai Chi Beginning Practice (DVD)

While some would argue this wonderful DVD by David-Dorian Ross isn't 'pure' T'ai Chi the point is it IS easy to follow, a great introduction to the exercises, explained and made easy by a master presenter. The scenery in the background isn't bad either. At 72, I needed something to work on staying flexible, which wasn't stressful on my body joints. This fills the bill perfectly. Highly recommended.

I had borrowed this from a friend and was impressed with the contents which is why I bought it. Great approach to breaking down basics.

Its a good DVD, well worth the price. I would recommend it for people just starting out and those already skilled.

I have been struggling with back pain for a few years. I took the leap to chiropractic care but this only provided temporary relief. With nothing to lose, I purchased the DVD and followed the AM routine and after a couple of weeks my back pain ceased. To test if this was a coincidence I stopped the routine and the back pain returned. I now perform the AM routine at least four times a week to maintain a pain free back.

This is the best DVD for Tai Chi that we have ever found. We tried several DVDs before, but this is definitively the BEST! We discovered it some years ago and never found a better one. We have used it every morning, and it makes a great difference in the way my husband and I conduct our daily lives. If you have a hard time meditating, this set of slow movements, with a relaxing background music, plus the pleasant and clear, calm instruction of David Ross, give you all you need: the calm mind and also adds an incredible tranquility to your inner being. Excellent for reducing stress, controlling anxiety, and making you feel great! I strongly recommend it!

I am a t'ai chi instructor and have been practicing and teaching for over 20 years. I teach/practice the style of t'ai chi that David does in this video. This video is top notch. I've seen and worked with many in my time and David's has it all. Easy to follow, packed with important and vital information about t'ai chi itself and the movements. I can't recommend it more highly for someone investigating t'ai chi before they find a master to work with or for someone like me to hone and refine their practice or someone who lives in an area where experienced and high level teachers are not available.

I got this dvd from the library first to try it out because of my age and years of no exercise. I was afraid tai chi would be too difficult for me. I was surprised. With this dvd I was able to go at my own pace and it was very easy to follow. I watched a few others from the library but didn't like them, this was the best. So I purchased this one and I am enjoying it.

I am really enjoying the dvd in the privacy of my own home. The only way I could find taichi was to go to meetings once a week in a church or community center. The dvd is very detailed and slow so I can keep up.

A great beginners video!  Learn basic T'ai Chi moves that you can do at anytime of the day!
