My youngest female cat just loves this. The other 3 of my cats don't like it. They seem afraid. The red light that we use for the cats to chase really works well to get them started for running. After a few weeks she just starts running without the light. It's so neat to see.
I looked at quite a few before choosing this cat exercise wheel. I liked that it looked sturdy and big enough for all my cats to play on. I received it when expected and no damage to package. There was a lot of pieces to put together but the instructions was easy to understand. It took us about 45 minutes to put it together. The wood is thick and sturdy, it should last a really long time. It can be set to shut down, if you are sleeping or you don't want your cats to play unattended..I haven't had it very long and my cats are not rolling it all the way around yet but catnip sprinkled all over the carpet is helping. I would recommend, it's a very good value.
Like that it's sturdy. It works as it's supposed to. Still working on training the cats to spin on the wheel. I read somewhere that using the infinite red dot light to encourage them to chase to get the wheel to start spinning. I do love the natural wood color because it blends in with many color schemes and decor. It wasn't too bad to put together but I do recommend two people.
Beautiful materials but hard to put together. Connecting areas did not match up or fit. Had to sand, glue and use extra screws.
After assembly it looks EXACTLY like the one pictured on Walmart dot com! It seems to be sturdy. Time will tell. Took me almost 7 hours to assemble. There are 50 pieces of wood and 101 screws! Two people could likely get it assembled in about 2 hours. Cats are still getting used to it and haven't started using it yet. When it rolls the action is smooth and fairly quiet. I'd recommend it to others if it's available for around a hundred dollars.
I love this so much and my cat foes too it didn't come with the cut out on the photo was a bit sad about that but it's still great. Warning be prepared to have a lot of time on your hands to put it together it's like 60 individual screws I would reccomend using a power drill not the tiny screw driver that came with it . Awesome product for a good price though.
Was a bit hard to build and took a while, but once I understood it was fine. My problem with it is there are small openings that the cat's paws or tails could be caught up causing them to break their paw or tails. There should have been a safety measure in that because of how easy it can happen. The carpet inside isn't long enough and doesnt stay as well as id like it to. It makes a clunk noise when rotating as well.
While the overall structural materials were solid and sturdy, the assembly screws were weak and inadequate, with several of the screw heads twisting off before securely tightened. Next, the instructions were strictly pictorial, no written instructions or procedures. It took several rounds of "trial and error" to sort which screws, fasteners and nuts went where, and to get the assembly completed. Also, owing to the lack of instructions, several of the attachment slots were sufficiently loose that gluing was necessary to properly secure them.
I have recently bought this cat wheel for my cat for Christmas so he can slim down a bit. As I was building this cat wheel (terrible directions) I had to find loopholes to even build this thing because the wood dimensions are not cut properly, the hole for the rotors to spin were to close to the wood which would also create friction causing the cat wheel to work like a messed up wheel barrow, which ultimately made me come to this conclusion- 1. buy an easier cat wheel to assemble 2. plastic cat wheels are the better option 3. Don't buy a cat wheel from a company with no work ethic or care about the customers needs. Save yourself the time and money!
There are no holes where the screw fits into the connecting item and the wood is soft but the screwdriver is a piece of crap. This product need a hole to fit the screws into.
