Tamagotchi with a Pokémon/ecology vibe!

Alyssa October 30, 2025

The Paradise is a great device with a different playstyle compared to other recent entries. In this version, you raise various Tamas in different "biomes" (land, sky, and water) as a researcher trying to discover all of them. This one is more based on breeding and raising new Tamas as opposed to bonding with and customising one Tama (like in the Uni). There are different minigames for raising happiness versus earning Gotchi points, and you can still play games to earn GP while your Tama is asleep! There are items to place in your Tama's environment for them to play with, and you can change your Tama's colour with certain items, too. For us busy adults (or kids in school), there is a Tama sitter you can leave your Tama with all day, and--unlike in the Uni--your Tama will not be sad upon pickup, lol. Another fun feature of this device is the connection. As usual, you can connect with a friend, but you can also connect with the "Lab Tama" at a Bandai store (or another Japanese/toy store that tends to carry Tama stuff, e.g. Kinokuniya--check online for a fanmade map of participating locations). By connecting with this "Lab Tama", you can get exclusive items and breed with special characters. At these participating stores, you can also connect with a store employee's device to get more exclusive items. This content is expected to rotate seasonally. (There is a fanmade Lab Tama device in the works so that people who don't live near one of these stores can still get the content.) P.S. Connecting with both other versions while your Tama is in the "young" stage unlocks a secret character particular to your version, e.g. you can get a dragon if you connect your Land with a Sky and a Water. I got mine almost a month ago and haven't needed to change the batteries (two AAA) yet; consider buying rechargeable ones on Amazon. A screen protector is also a good idea since Tamagotchi screens scratch very easily. In the image below, I have swapped the shells of my devices for different colour combinations and put on screen protectors and cases. This Tama is MUCH larger than the Uni and doesn't have wi-fi, but its playstyle is unique. I live fairly close to a Bandai store, so the pre-internet notion of having to go there to unlock some of the content appeals to me. It's a reason to go out, shop around, get some dinner, and maybe chat/connect with another Tama fan. Even though the accessibility for this is limited in the U.S., I have to say that it really elevates the experience. They are coming out with another Paradise version (with new characters and a biome that replaces the standard sky one) soon, too. I know this item is already in extreme demand, and I'm not trying to make that problem worse (lol), but I have seen a lot of people asking if the Paradise is "worth it", so hopefully this helps. It is not the kind of device you sit on for hours in a row, but it is a massively upgraded reimagining of the virtual pets many of us grew up with.

Great buy

Jade October 21, 2025

I absolutely love my Pink Land Tamagotchi Paradise 🥰 I have not had a Tamagotchi since the 90’s. I just happened upon a YouTube video about the Paradise and I decided I wanted to try it out. I am enjoying it so much more than I anticipated. I actually purchased the Purple %26 Blue Paradise’s as well. I was having a hard time initially finding one online so I was excited when I found it here last month. I paid $92 with tax and while I love my paradise I wouldn’t recommend buying it when it’s listed for that much. I thought that was how much they were. So definitely grab one at the actual fair market price of $44.99. I bought my other two paradises for their actual price and it pains me every time I think about how I essentially paid double. But lesson learned I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rachel April 22, 2026

I got every single version; sky, land, water, and forest. reliving my childhood! It was so hard to find a Jade Forest, but I'm so happy it came and was delivered nicely. Definitely recommended any of them :))

Tamagotchi Paradise

Bella March 17, 2026

This game is awsome! im a 90's baby so if you had a tama you were in! I love how it has so many new features and ways to interact that keep you engaged. as well as it keeping the classic care functions and 3 button operation system. The dial is some next level business. There is a menu on the main (Deco Planet) screen of activities. Zoom in and you have 2 different distances where you can interact with your tama, again with 2 different drop downs of care activities. Last zoom in is viewing at a cellular level where you can then see the hunger and happiness level. only downside is the AAA batteries drain in like 2 weeks so i recommend getting chargeable batteries. The screen is in bright color! lovely and the image is good quality. you can play separate mini games in the "Deco Lab" to earn tama currency to buy items like toys, food or clothes for your Deco Planet which is the main screen. those games however are separate from the ones that count towards your tamagotchis happiness level. You can also travel to other planets to receive items and connect with a friends tamagotchi for a gift exhange or playdate which could then lead to the option of breeding a new tama egg. the parent sticks around a while but not long. the higher your level the more features you unlock as you get closer to successfully raising your tama to adult age. I have the purple and pink one so they produce different characters due to the land, sky, and water planet themes (color coded). There is also these cute little tamagotchi themed bracelets you can attach to them to keep on your bag or wrist.( Picture shown below but sold by walmart separately)

Wrong item received!

Jeremy June 3, 2026

Ordered the Jade Forest twice, but was sent the Blue Water both times instead. They might have ran out of stock, but I was not informed of the changes nor given heads up. Just fyi. Jade Forest is still showing as available, but I'm not going to try and order it again.

Wrong Item

Tamagotchi May 5, 2026

Delivery was later than expected by 30 minutes but that's not a big deal. The thing is that they sent me the wrong item. The first time I order my item got cancelled bc they were out of stock, but then when I checked back they were in stock and the price went from $44.97 to $53.99?? I reordered and they sent me Pink Land instead of Jade Forest. Poor experience.

Don’t get this from Walmart, try Target instead

Sonia April 25, 2026

This is a great tamagotchi but do not get it from Walmart. I’ve tried ordering multiple times and they’d always cancel my order and the one time they finally do deliver it, guess what? They give me the purple sky model instead of jade forest that I purchased. Will be going to target and Best Buy for future Tama purchases.
