I use Jimmy Dean spicy sausage for an added kick. This mix is really delicious, it's full of flavor, and I will skip the already prepared chorizo over this every time I'm craving chorizo. It's easy to prepare yourself just mix in the one pound package of Sausage of your choice about a tablespoon of white vinegar, and cook. There is enough mix to make at least two separate portions. No need to use the whole bag for one pound package of breakfast sausage.
Good flavor I love putting this in my eggs and making a burrito.
Perfect mix for making your own chorizo. just add to whatever ground meat you like.
I think the only reason this is a staple in so many homes is that it's cheap. It's pretty plain, nothing fantastic about it, IMO and the company has no interest in telling you how to best use it, no recipes or how much to use. It's a package of seasoning and that's it.
