Overall, I'm a fan of this update. I am using this on my balcony door. It's helpful when I'm carrying decorations or coffee/food and my hands are full. It is a bit bouncy, but you get used to it. I also like the adjustment knob for speed of closing.
Old outside screen door closer device lost the on/off push device to hold the door open. The old device was simple to remove, and the new device was also simple and easy to install. Works great.
Works well. Wish it fit onto old brackets in place. Took a while to admit it wouldn't work without turning bracket and drilling new screw holes. ? Maybe a warning on instructions “will not fit brackets of older models (by name).
i just bought and installed this door closer on my screen door. It was easy to install and worked perfectly. I was concerned when i bought it because it was a little larger than the old one, but there was no problem with the size. Very sturdy. I think it will be great.
We have an older parent living with us that is mobile, however slow moving. When leaving or returning to the house it was best to lock the door in the open position. Purchased this unit due to its ease-of-use for holding the door open amd releasing. Much easier to use than traditional units that have the sliding lock washer on the shaft.
The crazy kansas wind caught my old storm door and bent the bracket and closer that came with my storm door. Found this one and was a perfect match to the broken one.
I love how the Heavy Duty Tap N Go Door Closer holds my glass door strong in the wind. I highly recommend this closer for anyone needing a quality door closer
It's noisy when opening and closing and the stopper protrudes quite a bit out. It does work though.
The door stop to keep the door open is on the inside and harder to get to. Also, if you open the door too much, it gets jammed and you have to take it off to unjam it.
Had high hopes for this closer as replacement for Anderson storm door. Unlike the photos shown on website or on big box retailer website, the EZ hold button is NOT on top but on the side. This prevents the storm door from fully closing and latching as the button hits the front door. This closer was installed per the instructions. Terrible design on this closer.
